S.Y. 2020 – 2021
OFFICIAL PROJECT DESCRIPTION (ENGLISH):

Kalingang Quezon High is a fundraising drive by Quezon National HIgh School's Supreme Student Government (2020-2021) that aims to gather resources through collective
fundraising and partnerships with concerned alumnus, parents, teachers, students and organizations. It will offer assistance to deserving students especially for needed
paraphernalia during distance learning, as well as for other necessities that the Supreme Student Government can help with. The student council believes that through collaborative
efforts, we will be able to alleviate the struggles of our proud students affected by the pandemic and the insufficiency of resources for their learning.
OFFICIAL PROJECT DESCRIPTION (FILIPINO):

Ang Kalingang Quezon ay isang proyekto ng Supreme Student Government mula Pambansang Mataas na Paaralan ng Quezon para sa mga taong 2020-2021, na layuning
makipagtulungan sa mga Alumnus, Magulang, Guro, kapwa Mag-aaral, at mga Organisasyon, upang magbigay ng tulong sa mga karapat-dapat na mag-aaral, lalong-lalo na ang
mga estudyanteng nangangailangan ng kagamitan para sa Distance Learning at iba pa maaaring maipagkaloob ng Supreme Student Government. Ang Student Council ay
naniniwalang sa pamamagitan ng pagtutulungan, ganap nating mapupunan ang kakulangan sa mga kagamitan para sa pag-aaral ng mga estudyante at maabot ang ninanais nating
edukasyon para sa lahat ng mga mag-aaral.
SUMMARY OF PROJECT MECHANICS:

This donation drive aims to help less fortunate students by providing aid for their basic financial needs. Students who require financial assistance must declare their situation and
prove their enrollment as a bona fide student of QNHS through an answerable online form. This form is free of charge and will be disseminated to all students as much as possible.
Donation will take place year-round or until there is still significant demand for financial support from QNHS students. Willing donors/sponsors can donate through affiliated bank
accounts and/or mobile payment apps (such as Gcash or Paymaya) set up by the SSG. All donations will be done remotely as to minimize the physical contact due to the pandemic.

ONLINE NOTESHARING DRIVE OF THE

Bookay Ukay is an online notes and reviewers crowdsourcing project where all Quezon Highers can take part for free. Students may “donate” and share their old notes from
previous grade level subjects or they can also choose to “ask for help” instead and download a vast library of free and available learning resources from other students through
Google Drive. Notes and reviewers are arranged by grade level, by subject, and by academic quarter so that everyone can navigate Bookay-Ukay easily. The QNHS SSG hopes
that this initiative will help ease the struggle of the common student during the pandemic and really make sure that no Quezon Higher gets left behind!

Bookay Ukay aims to help struggling students keep up with the pace in today’s distance learning situation. Old notes and reviewers from both current and former QNHS students are
of utmost importance to the project. Willing students/alumnae can “donate” or share scanned copies, computer documents, and/or pictures of their old notes from previous years of
study in an open Google Drive link where anyone can freely collaborate. Interested students from lower years can now find a vast array of materials from other generous students
and can download them freely for later reviewing.

STUDENT PORTAL FOR DISTANCE LEARNING BY

The QNHS Supreme Student Government recognizes the difficulties everyone including students and teachers will experience this coming school year. That is why, with the help of “ONE QNHS”, an
online student portal—everything from for learning materials in sites like Khan Academy or in DepEd Commons; learning tools like Google Suite or Canva; online classrooms like Edmodo, Google, or
Zoom; online announcements from QNHS social media pages; or literally anything else you’ll need for this year’s distance learning are now all in one place! With ONEQNHS there is no need to remember
links, open a lot of tabs, follow a lot of Facebook pages, or go through all the hassle online. Just open this link: https://oneqnhs.carrd.co/ and start a productive day at school!

ONEQNHS is made possible by Carrd, an online platform for building simple, responsive, and navigable websites. The hosting of the entire website in the Internet is completely free and will not cost the
school or the QNHS SSG a single cent. Access to the website is free and available as well to all students with sufficient data or mobile internet at home. Internet traffic to the website is unlimited so no

LGBTQIA+ ORGANIZATION
FORMATION OF NEW STUDENT-LED ORGANIZATION
FOR QUEZON HIGHERS OF THE LGBTQIA+ COMMUNITY
S.Y. 2020 – 2021

The QNHS Supreme Student Government recognizes the need for the student body to protect and uphold the welfare of marginalized communities within the campus. This is why
starting this year; the QNHS SSG will spearhead the creation and establishment of the first student-led organization for LGBTQIA+ rights. A fully established organization for
LGBTQIA+ students will not only provide the platform for their voices to be heard but will also help spark action against the increasingly prevalent issue of cyber-bullying,
harassment and discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation or gender identity or expression.

24/7 SOCIAL MEDIA UPDATES

REVAMPED SOCIAL MEDIA USE OF OFFICIAL SSG PAGES TO PROVIDE
RELEVANT DAILY UPDATES ON LOCAL COVID-19 CASES, SPIRITUAL GUIDANCE, AND ETC.

The QNHS SSG believes that social media is the strongest tool for information and connection especially during this pandemic. This “revamped” use of our social media pages will
assure all Quezon Highers that they will always get the relevant news and updates, as well as vital information on many issues like Covid-19, school announcements, and more. The
QNHS SSG has also partnered with the Mary Help of Christians Crusade (MHCC) to bring students a daily dose of spiritual guidance to help them cope with the emotional and
mental stress brought by the pandemic.

We at the QNHS SSG believes that free and accessible communication in times of crisis is always important. Powered by Curious Cat, this initiative will help every Quezon Higher
feel safer while we are all apart by providing them an online and anonymous platform from where they can freely share or report any incidence of bullying, harassment,
discrimination or any other harm against themselves or someone they know.
