PASSWORD RECOVERY on 7750 SR12

Below is the restore password process with software version 1.3 and cli
commands:

 1. Reset the SR12 power

2. Hit the space bar during the 2 sec boot up to stop the normal boot up
process

3. Define the boot image location: cf3:\TiMOS-1.3.R4

4. Change the boot config location to “none”

5. Don't save the bof setting and let the router boot up with empty
configuration.

6. After the router boot up and login as admin with default password
“admin”

7. Execute the original configuration via cli

 “exec cf3:\config.cfg”

 8. Change admin password via CLI

"configure system security user admin password <new password> "

9. Change the primary-config location in the bof setting via CLI

 "bof primary-config cf3:\config.cfg"  

10. Save the bof config via CLI

  “bof save”

11. Save the router config via Cli

“admin save”
