Helmet of Salvation

“Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One
who can destroy both soul and body in hell” (Matthew 10:28)

“destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take
every thought captive to obey Christ” (2 Corinthians 10:5).

Before we can take a look at how we can use the helmet of salvation, we must first
understand its true meaning. Helmet is a form of protective gear use to protect the head from
injuries while salvation basically means to be saved. How do we connect these two?

In its simplest form, helmet is last worn armament by a soldier but nonetheless still one of
most important that removing so would make the rest of the armor be of little use.

There are several actions a believer can take to keep this helmet fastened and functioning:

Renew our minds. Confusion, lies, beliefs. We live in a world so small every little thing matters
and forgetting what truly does. We live in the beliefs of one, and believe in the lies of some. We
lost our own meaning being too busy listening to others, we lost our the faith thinking we have
gained the other. The helmet allows us to renew our minds, look back to our faith and where
we’ve started, and allow God’s truth to continually wash away the world’s filth, lies and
confusions.

Reject doubts that arise from circumstances. As human beings we are always doubtful. We
believe what our eyes see and doubt the impossible but our faith taught us to believe in Him who
made us because we have seen the impossible made possible through Him. Some will always
question our faith, but don't let their doubt be our doubt and and fight for your faith.
