STEP 5:
APPLYING TO DSP&S
DSP&S Transition to College (TTC) program provides outreach and support
to local high school seniors receiving academic accommodations through
an IEP or 504 plan. TTC is designed to ease the transition to college for high
school seniors with disabilities and successfully connect students with a
broad range of services designed to support academic success.
STEP 1:
Apply for Admission to College
• Visit www.fresnocitycollege.edu and complete an application through
CCCapply. It may take up to two business days to process your application.
STEP 2:
Set up Student Accounts
• Once you receive your confirmation email, log in to your student portal:
visit www.fresnocitycollege.edu and click on “My Portal” (see back of
this page for instructions). Once you log in to your student portal you
can access your student email, Canvas, WebAdvisor, and other useful
tools. Check your email daily as email is the primary way the college
will communicate with you.
STEP 3:
New Student Orientation
• Complete the Fresno City College Online Orientation at www.scccd.edu/
orientation, or access the orientation through your student portal. You
will need to know your SCCCD login information (see the back of this
page) to enroll in the course and complete the orientation. It may take
1 to 2 business days to clear your orientation hold.
STEP 4:
Apply for Financial Aid/Scholarships
• Beginning on October 1 of each year, complete the Free Applica-
tion for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at www.fafsa.ed.gov or the
California Dream Act application at dream.csac.ca.gov. For more
information about scholarships, important deadlines, and financial aid

Apply for the DSP&S Program
• Log in to your student portal with your single sign-on (see step 2).
• Visit AIM and complete the TTC-DSP&S application for services.
• You can also access the TTC-DSP&S application here.
• You will be prompted to upload a copy of your disability verification,
which may include the most recent high school IEP/Psych report, 504
plan, and/or any medical verification that is related to your disability.
STEP 6:
Sign Required Forms in AIM
• Using your single sign-on (Step 2), log back into AIM with DSP&S
staff to review and sign any required forms.
STEP 7:
Academic Advising
• In the spring semester, meet with a DSP&S counselor to develop a
Student Education Plan (SEP) of the courses planned to reach your
academic and career goals.
STEP 8:
Register for Classes
• Check your student email for your assigned registration date. You can
register in the following ways:
1. Online using the Web Advisor app in your student portal, or
2. On-campus in the Admissions Office (Student Svs Bldg, 1st flr), or
3. Contact DSP&S staff for assistance.
STEP 9:
Follow-up with DSP&S Counselor
• Speak with a DSP&S counselor to discuss any disability related accomo-
dations that may be needed to support your academic performance.
STEP 10:
Faculty Notification Letter (FNL)
• Each semester students must notify their insturctors regarding their
approved accomodations by requesting a FNL.
• Students log in to their AIM portal to request that a FNL be emailed
to their instructor(s).
• Visit Accessible Information Management (AIM) on the FCC webpage
for step-by-step instructions on how to request your FNL.

To apply, go to scccd.edu/apply and click on the link for the college where you plan to enroll

• Scroll down and click on the CCCApply link. If you do not have an OpenCCC account, click on "Create an
Account" and follow the steps to create an account.
• Once you have created your OpenCCC account, click on the "Start New Application" link. Select the term
you are applying for and complete the application process, making sure to check that each section is
complete before you press "Submit".
• After you have submitted your application, you will receive two emails to the personal email address you
provided: the first from CCCapply confirming your account/application, and the second from SCCCD with
your student ID number. It may take up to two business days to process your application.
• Once your application has been processed and you have received your student ID number by email, all
future emails will be sent to your SCCCD email. See below for instructions on how to use your ID number
to log in to your student portal, which gives you access to your email, WebAdvisor, Canvas, and more.

To change your password, go to: www.scccd.edu/password
This will change your password for Email, WebAdvisor, Canvas & Wi-Fi.
