Justification of PCSIR Utility Bills

Electricity is being supplied to the PCSIR Laboratories Complex as a bulk supply under
the tariff C-2(c) through single meter. This Complex also providing electricity to PCSIR
Employees residential colony and installed its own electricity meters at each residence for actual
consumption of each residence. The PCSIR charged electricity bills from the allottees of
residences of PCSIR residential colony at per domestic rates in the light of Order dated:
12.04.2015 of the Honorable Lahore High Court, Lahore in W.P. No. 18552/2014 titled:
“Muhammad Shoaib etc. vs. MoST/PCSIR, whereas WAPDA is supplying electricity to PCSIR.

PCSIR has paid an amount of Rs. 2,984,303/- on account of Electricity Bill for the month
of May 2019.

Justification of PCSIR Utility Bills

The Industrial connection is being operated in the residence colony of PCSIR
Laboratories Complex, Lahore (Bulk Domestic). PCSIR has installed its own Gas Meters at
each residence to charge Sui Gas Bill as actual consumption of Gas at domestic rates of
SNGPL in the light of Order dated: 12.04.2015 of the Honorable Lahore High Court, Lahore in
W.P. No. 18552/2014 titled: “Muhammad Shoaib etc. vs. MoST/PCSIR.

Colony Gas Meter

SNGPL has charged Rs. 567,500/- according to slab rate Rs. 780/- for all units in
January 2019 Utility bill.
PCSIR has charged gas charges from colony residents as per domestic rates of SNGPL
according to following slab rates.
1. Rs. 121/- upto 50 Units
2. Rs. 127/- upto 100 Units
3. Rs. 264/- upto 200 Units
4. Rs. 275/- upto 300 Units
5. Rs. 780/- above 300 Units

Labs Gas Meter

SNGPL has charged Rs. 740,640/- according to slab rate Rs. 780/- for all units in
January 2019 Utility bill. PCSIR has charged from other institutions according to slab rate
Rs. 780/- for all units.
