Overview
Through Knowledge and Employability courses, students become active and responsible
citizens, achieve their educational and career goals, improve quality of life for themselves and
their families and positively impact their communities.

Goals of this course:


Provide students with practical applied opportunities to develop competencies necessary to meet
or exceed:
Senior high school credentials
Enter the workplace upon leaving school with employability and occupational skills that meet
industry standards
Make successful transitions to other courses or to further education and training
Become responsible and contributing members of society

Required Materials
 Mathematics for Knowledge and Employability Workbook - You will be given only one copy of
the Workbook when they arrive; if you lose that one you are responsible to purchase another one
 Scientific Calculator - to be supplied by the student

The final course grade will be determined as follows.  Within chapters 1-10 (weighted in
