When learning a language, the most important thing is to focus on these 4 elements.
(Listening, Speaking, Reading, Writing)

1. Learning Russian alphabet


• At the beginning, we have to learn the Russian alphabet so that we can read Russian
words and sentences.
• It may seem impossible to learn the Russian alphabet, but in reality it is not that difficult.
I learned the Russian alphabet very fast thanks to these applications and videos:

2. Best apps for learning Russian
After learning the Russian alphabet, we can start learning the Russian language using
mobile applications.
Why using mobile apps? It is fun, motivating and addicting :D you will not want to stop
learning :D

a) Duolingo (best for reading, listening and writing + learning grammar)

We all know the Duolingo app, it's the easiest way to start any language.

▪ I recommend setting the daily goal to 50xp.

b) Drops (best for learning new vocabulary, alphabet, listening and writing)

Drops is an amazing application for learning new words. Vocabulary is divided into
groups, so you can choose the area that interests you.

▪ I recommend setting one lesson for 5 minutes.


(I always do at least 2 lessons a day = 10 minutes)

c) Mango Languages ( best for new vocabulary, sentences, listening )

Mango languages is unique in learning style, it will teach you a lot of new words and
phrases. Frequent repetition will help you get vocabulary in long-term memory.

▪ I recommend do at least one lesson for a day.

d) Rosetta Stone (best for EVERYTHING (Listening, Reading, Grammar , Vocabulary,

If I had to choose a single application it would definitely be: Rosetta Stone. When you try
it you will understand why, you learn in a very natural way and each of the important
elements.

yourself, then listen to it and finally try to say it yourself.

Innovate101 is a well-known language learning application, you can start with the basics
and gradually go through all the difficulties.

▪ I recommend one audio lesson for a day. (start with Absolute Beginner Season 1)
one video lesson for a day (start with Learn Russian Conversations with Animation)

3. Learning Russian with YouTube

I absolutely love learning russian with YouTube. Its fun, its simple and you can do that
every day, whole day.
