When will the application process for admissions in the MBA 2020-22 program
begin?

The application process has started and the forms are available here.

2. What is the last date for submitting the application form?

The last date for submitting the application form is 31st January 2020.

3. Do I need to fill a separate application to apply in DoMS, IIT Roorkee?

No, you only need to fill a common application. Make sure you select DoMS, IIT Roorkee
when filling the form to be considered for your candidature here.

4. What is the minimum eligibility criteria to apply for the MBA program in DoMS?

Graduates (or any equivalent professional qualification recognized by UGC) in any discipline
with a first class or 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/PD) from a recognized University are
eligible to apply for the MBA program.
Additionally, you must have a valid CAT score to be eligible to apply for the MBA program
in DoMS.

5. I am a final year student about to graduate in 2020. Can I Apply for the MBA
program?

 Yes, Final year students are also eligible to apply. Such candidates if selected, will be
admitted provisionally on the condition they meet all the requirements for the qualifying
degree before the start of the program and can produce a certificate of proof of completion of
the program latest by September 30, 2020.
Additionally, you must have a valid CAT score to be eligible to apply for the MBA program
in DoMS.

6. Is work experience mandatory to apply for your MBA program?

No, freshers, as well as candidates with work experience both, are eligible to apply for the
MBA program in DoMS, IIT Roorkee.

7. How much is the application fee for MBA 2020 admissions?

For General / OBC / NRI Category Rs 1600


For SC/ST/PD Rs 800
8. How do I pay my application fees?

Fee Payment can be done through Net Banking, Credit Card or Debit Card.

9. Can I edit my application once submitted?

Once the application has been submitted, we are unable to accept application updates.
However, candidates could provide updates about their candidature, if invited to interview, at
that time.

10. When should I expect an invitation to the interview?

The interview date and location will be intimated to the applicants by email well in advance
of the interview process

11. What will be the location/venue for WAT/PI process?

The interview process is scheduled in Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Kolkata, and Roorkee. The
location and slot of the process will be assigned based on availability and your preference list.

12. Will there be a separate interview for DoMS, IIT Roorkee?

No, there will be only one common interview process.

13. What should I bring with me on my interview day?

Candidates invited for the interview process should bring the originals of all certificates that
support their eligibility as detailed in the application form.

Candidates with work experience also need to bring an experience letter or their joining letter
along with the last two month’s salary slip.

14. How will my application be evaluated?

Although your CAT score is a very important criterion for the initial shortlisting, other
factors like work experience, and WAT/PI performance also carry due weightage for the final
selection.

15. How long can I take to communicate my acceptance?

The last date for acceptance of the admission offer will be mentioned in the offer letter.
Usually, it is within two weeks of the offer.
16. If admitted, am I expected to pay a tuition deposit?

Yes, the amount to be deposited and the last date to submit the fees will be mentioned in your
offer letter.

17. What is the relaxation for Female Students? If any.

Yes, we have a relaxation of 10 percentiles for female students across all categories.

18. Are there any exemptions in the entire process?

1. JEE qualified IIT Graduates with CGPA between 7 & above, but less than 8 (7≥ <8) will be
exempted from CAT and will be directly be called for WAT/PI.
2. JEE qualified IIT Graduates with CGPA  8 and above will be given direct admission.
