Dear RGSD Family,

MISSION

The Riverview Gardens School To say that the COVID-19 pandemic has been challenging to educators is an

On Tuesday, October 13, 2020, the Special Administrative Board (SAB) approved the
District’s 2020-2021 Return to School Plan. Under this plan, Pre-K – Grade 2 scholars are
VISION approved to return to in-person learning on Wednesday, November 4. Grades 3 – 5 are
approved to return to in-person learning the following week on Wednesday, November 11.
The Riverview Gardens School Grades 6 – 12 will remain 100% virtual until further notice.

This plan was carefully crafted under guidance from St. Louis County, the Missouri
Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) and the Centers for Disease
Control and Prevention (CDC). RGSD also consulted with area school districts that have
previously returned to in-person learning to put together a list of best practices to mitigate
the risk of spreading COVID-19.
