Yes, we have Corn Flakes, Frosted Flakes, Rice Krispies, Shredded Wheat, Special K,
Granola, Raisin Bran, Cherrios, Froot Loops, Cocoa Krispies, All Bran. They are served
with regular or skim milk.

2. Tell me 4 black teas and 4 herbal teas.


Black Teas: Lemon lift, Earl Grey, English Breakfast, Darjeling tea.
Herbal Teas: Peppermint tea, Green tea, Cozy Chamomile, Orange spice tea.

3. Mention 5 types of bread for breakfast.


Croissants, brioches, sweet rolls (Danish or pastries), donuts, English muffins, toasts
and bagels.

4. What is Caffé Corretto?


Café Corretto consists of a shot espresso with a small amount of liquor such as Grappa,
Sambuca or Brandy.

5. What is Caffé Americano?


It is a shot of espresso mixed with hot water.

6. How do you prepare Irish Coffee?


It is hot coffee, Irish Whiskey (usually Jameson), brown sugar and whipped cream.

7. What is the difference between Caffé Ristretto and Caffé Lungo?


Caffé Ristretto is a short shot of espresso, denser and aromatic and Caffé Lungo is a
long espresso made with more water.

8. What is the difference between scrambled eggs and an omelet?


An omelet is made of beaten eggs and different toppings and usually includes some
milk. Scrambled eggs do not include milk but may include some cheese on top.

9. Can you describe Eggs Benedict?


Eggs Benedict are poached eggs served on two halves of an English Muffin toasted,
Canadian bacon or ham steak, poached eggs and is topped with Hollandaise Sauce.

10. What is Hollandaise Sauce?


Hollandaise Sauce is made with clarified butter, egg yolks, lemon juice and vinegar (or
water).

11. What is the name of eggs substitute, cholesterol free?


Eggs beaters and can be cooked scrambled or in an omelet. (No egg yolks)

12. Do you know a dish that is served with a bagel?


Yes, I do. It is smoked salmon plate, Sir. It is a cold dish served with cream cheese,
lemon wedge, tomato wedge, onion rings, capers and a toasted bagel. It is also called
Lox dish.
13. What is the name of the hot fish that we serve during breakfast as a Main Course?
It is called Kippered Herring and it is a grilled fish served with boiled potatoes and
sautéed onions.

14. Which fresh fruit do you remember for breakfast service?


Well, we serve stewed prunes, half a grapefruit, bananas, ananas (pineapple), and sliced
fruit such as cantaloupe and honeydew melon, watermelon, peaches and pears in syrup.
We can also serve a fruit salad which is diced fruits called Macedonia in Italian.

15. Can you describe a muesli?


Muesli is an energetic cold cereal made with oats, milk, apples, raisins and honey.

16. Mention 5 juices provided during breakfast time.


We have Orange juice, Grapefruit juice, Cranberry juice, Pineapple juice, Apple juice,
Tomato juice, V8 juice, Tropical juice.

17. What’s in the V8 juice?


V8 juice contains 8 different veggies:
Tomato, beets, celery, spinach, watercress, carrots, parsley and lettuce.

18. Which hot cereals do you remember?


Among hot cereals, we have oatmeal (also called porridge), Cream of wheat and grits.
They are usually served with walnuts, brown sugar, raisins and hot milk. They can be
served with sliced bananas too.

19. How can a guest order fried eggs?


Fried eggs are made from fresh eggs and they can be:
SUNNY SIDE UP. The egg yolk is liquid.
OVER EASY. The eggs are flipped over so the egg yolk is slightly cooked (film).
OVER MEDIUM. The egg yolk is firm and not running.
OVER HARD. The egg yolk is totally cooked on both sides.

20. What are eggs ‘a la coque’?


Eggs ‘a la coque’ are soft boiled eggs. Usually cooked for less than 5 minutes.
Egg white is set but the egg yolk is still liquid (running).

21. Can you describe how poached eggs are cooked?


Poached Eggs are cooked without the shell in hot water and vinegar. This creates a
chemical reaction allowing the eggs to cook firmly.

22. How are hard boiled eggs prepared?


Hard boiled eggs are cooked with the shell in boiling water for no less than 5 minutes.

23. Mention some side orders for egg dishes.


Well, we have, for example, hash brown potatoes, grilled tomato, bacon, crispy bacon,
corn beef hash, pork sausage and turkey sausage.
24. How is French Toast prepared?
French Toast is white bread soaked in an egg, flour and milk mixture, topped with
cinnamon and powder sugar. It is fried or grilled and served with maple syrup or honey.

25. What dishes are considered part of the Express Breakfast?


Scrambled eggs with bacon and toasts, pancakes, French Toast and Belgian Waffles.

We have buttermilk pancakes, banana pancakes and blueberry pancakes.

We can offer sliced gluten-free bread and then we grill it in a special toaster.

We have the Smoked Salmon which is served cold and can be a starter or a main
course served with cream cheese and a toasted bagel. And we also have the Kippered
Herring which is a hot main course that is grilled and served with boiled potatoes and
sautéed onions.

29. What flavor is marmalade for British guests?


When British guests talk about marmalade they mean orange flavor marmalade.

30. What condiment do you need to offer for all main courses during breakfast?
Fresh ground pepper.
