Probing the power and importance of art

Probing the Power and Importance of Art was an article published in May 2019 by the
author named, Kirsten Weir, in American Psychological Association website. The article
presents the various art-related research studies of a psychologist, Ellen Winner together with
her students and colleagues to explore in the Arts and Mind Lab at Boston College to further
expand art and be recognized in human lives. Lack of data in articles can lead to questioning.
Unbiased actions enforce integrity. Art is an independent lesson.

As I read the experiment in first part of the article, I notice the lack of information about
the sample size of the participants/respondents. Although the process is substantially structured
and the diverse independent variables are beneficial, the lack of information of the sample
size included in the article can raise questions to this matter. One basis is the sampling error.
Sampling error in the results of the experiments can happen because the experiment, this can
affect the data if there's a selected small segment from a huge population, thus leading to
an unfavorable situation.

The details of Winner how she got in her current line of work in the second part of the
article defines her passion towards art and validate her credibility. Hence why the result of the
project of Winner and her colleagues show no sign of bias towards art advocates’ favor, thus
integrity is present in their work. The given respect is essential to promote productive
interactions between trainees and mentors and especially for the cause of the research.

Art has its own nature that let people explore the re-creation of life in different mediums,
hence why I support a quotation from the article of Winner stating, “I fundamentally believe there
is value to learning the arts, independent of transfer.". Art does teach us in different way. Art is a
type of creative human expression, a medium of enriching human experience therefore it is well-
grounded needed for a fruitful learning experience.

One might object here that small details can be left out, yet accuracy of information
should always be considered to ensure its factual and validity. It is true that integrity within
action leads to favorable circumstances and art is one of many of ways of learning. By
completing the details can accurately deliver its information and convey its literacy in the topic.
Regardless whether Art has a transferable effect, we can all agree it’s a wonderful creation.
