As of now, our pumping facility in FCI-Castillejos is implementing a zoning scheme due to limited Q of

our Well no. 1, which ranges from 5.2 – 6.1 LPS. FCI- Castillejos is currently divided into three (3) zones,
with 6hours of allotted time per zone. Our tanks and booster pump are now currently in a Fill and Draw
System. Our estimate shows that we need 1hour and 15minutes to fill up the product tank then the
booster pump will distribute the supply to the system for a range of 30mins to 45mins as it reaches the
critical volume level of the product tank. This is the current set up of our water system here in FCI-
Castillejos.

We are currently being assisted by three (3) water trucks provided by HLDC Motorpool. Each truck is
assigned to deliver water supply to assigned zones. Please see attached table below:

TRUCK CAPACITY TRAVEL DISTRIBUTIO NO OF NO OF TOTAL

NO. TIME N TIME HOUSEHOL TRIPS
D SERVED
PER TRIP
TRUCK 3,750 LITERS 60 45 MINS 20 8 160
NO. 1 MINS
TRUCK 3,750 LITERS 60 45 MINS 20 8 160
NO. 2 MINS
TRUCK 10,000 LITERS 60 45 MINS 50 6 300
NO. 3 MINS

Based on observed data, with 3 water trucks, it can supply atleast 620 household per day. Due to the
impending lifting of ECQ, motor pool will soon pull out all of its water tuck currently assigned
temporarily in FCI-Castillejos.

We are in need of water truck services to supplement our current limited supply of 5-6lps.Water trucks
provides us support for Zones not covered by the allotted scheduled and we are still receiving
complaints of low to no water supply for some homeowners. Removal of water truck services will
greatly affect our water supply availability.

Recommendations:

1. Temporary Bulk Supply from Castillejos Water District for the duration of Well Drilling for
Well no. 2. Timeline for Construction of Bulk Line is estimated at 1 week as per CWD.
Available pipeline for CWD is 4’’ .While VWSSI has available 2’’ tapping point. We will isolate
a zone dedicated for CWD via valving scheme. CWD will supply this specific zone as per
available system pressure provided by CWD while VWSSI will supply the remaining zone.

2. Outsource available water trucks to supply the underground tank to supplement the 6lps
well discharge. These tanks will refill via Pamatawan Source. These tanks will fill the
underground tank directly thus conserving manpower, fuel and cost.
