Good, Mom. We’re preparing for sport competitions next month. All

Today, Chiya is visiting her grandparents. She loves cooking with her grandmother. Her
grandma usually teaches her how to cook delicious dishes. At this moment, Chiya is learning
how to make tasty chicken soup.

Chiya is helping to cut some onions, chilies, carrots, potatoes and other vegetables. She is also
writing her grandmother’s recipe. She plans to make chicken soup at home next Monday. She is
making the chicken soup for her mother. Next Monday is her mother’s birthday.

An hour later, Chiya and grandparents have finished eating chicken soup. Now, Chiya is listening
to her grandfather’s story. Chiya also loves listening to her grandpa’s story.

Her gandpa has many stories about life, joke, culture and many more. Now, Chiya with
grandmother are listening to one story of The Arabian Nights (1001 nights). They’re enjoying
their time together.

Hi Laura!

How are you doing now? Here, all family is well. Though I am really busy right now, I’m still
waiting for you. What a good friend, right? Ha ha!

We are all getting ready for my grandmother’s seventieth birthday. There is a big family party
this evening in the garden, with about 40 people. Some of my aunts, uncles and their children
are here because today we’re preparing for the party. My dad is putting up lights in the garden
at the moment. My uncles are organizing tables and chairs. My mother is cooking in the kitchen
and my aunts are helping her.

My cousins are here too. However, they aren’t helping much. They’re playing computer games
right now. Are you wondering what I am doing now? Why am I not helping them? Actually, I am
helping to prepare music. Now, I am downloading some old songs. Then I remember that you
know much more about music than me. Do you have any suggestion about the best music for
my grandmother’s birthday party?

memikirkan tentang rencana pestanya minggu depan).
Brian : What sort of party Ton? You haven’t told me yet, have you? (Pesta apa Ton? Kamu
belum memberitahuku, sudah belum?)

Tony : Ooh yaa I forget to tell you that i’m going to have a party next week for my graduation.
(O yaa aku lupa kasi tahu kamu kalau aku akan membuat pesta dalam rangka kelulusanku).

Brian : Lucky you Ton, I wish my parents would give me a present as well. What will you be
doing on the party next week? (Beruntungnya kamu Ton, aku harap orang tuaku bisa
memberikan aku hadiah juga. Apa yang akan kamu sedang lakukan pada saat pesta minggu
depan?)

Tony : There will be several activities Brian. I will be dancing of course and i will be singing. How
about you, what will you be doing at my party? (Akan ada banyak kegiatan. Aku akan sedang
menari, tentunya dan aku akan sedang bernyanyi. Bagaimana denganmu, apa yang akan sedang
kamu lakukan di pestaku?)

Brian : I won’t be dancing at that time because i can’t dance but i’ll be making some beverages
for all. (Aku tidak akan sedang menari pada saat itu karena aku tidak bisa menari tetapi aku
akan sedang membuat minuman untuk semuanya).

Tony : That’s awesome Brian. Thank you so much. (Keren sekali Brian. Makasie banyak yaa).

Sarah : Hi girls come here, get closer to me. As i have explained to you all before about our plan
to make a surprised birthday party to Hanna, i want to make sure, what will you be doing guys?
Ok start from Dessy. (Hai semua, sini mendekat. Seperti yang aku sudah jelaskan sebelumnya
tentang rencana kita untuk memberikan kejutan ulang tahun Hanna, aku ingin memastikan, apa
yang sedang kamu lakukan? OK mulai dari Dessy).

Dessy : I will be preparing the balloons. (Aku akan sedang menyiapkan balon)

Sarah : Nikita? (Nikita?)

Nikita : I will be decorating the room. (Aku akan sedang mendekorasi kamar).

Sarah : Who will be helping you? (Siapa yang akan sedang membantumu?)

Nikita : Jessica will be helping me. She will be hanging up the balloons. (Jessica yang akan
sedang membantuku. Dia akan sedang menggantung balon-balonya).

Sarah : Ok perfect. How about you Jane? (Ok Sempurna. Bagaimana dengan kamu Jane?)

Jane : When all set up, i will be carrying the cakes. (Ketika semuanya sudah siap, aku akan
sedang membawa kuenya).

Sarah : Haahh i almost forget about that. The last part, Tim? (haah, hampir lupa tentang itu,
yang terakhir, Tim?)

Timmy : When all get together in one spot, I will be turning up the fireworks. (Ketika semuanya
berkumpul bersama di satu tempat, aku akan sedang menyalakan kembang api).

Sarah : It sounds great. (Kedengaran sangat hebat).
