 What are the different mechanisms of precipitation?

Describe each of these

mechanisms. You may sketch if necessary.

-The different mechanism of precipitation comes in different forms. It comes off like a rain, sleet,
and snow. The different mechanism of precipitation comes in different forms. It comes off like a
rain, sleet, and snow. These ice crystals then fall to the Earth as hail, or, rain depending on the
temperature within the Earth's surface.

 Discuss the different methods to determine aerial precipitation from point precipitation data.

-The different methods to determine aerial precipitation from point precipitation are the following:
Arithmetic mean method, Thiessen polygon method, and Isohyetal method.

In finding the arithmetic mean, first thing to do is to determine the point from the boundary and get the
average rainfall through the rain gages inside the land mass. Then, divide it by the total number of
points within the boundary.

For the thiessen polygon method, the different rain gages are divided by their area of responsibility. It
will be determined by making a polygon out of the respective boundaries. To determine, it starts by
connecting the dots (rain gages) within the land mass; Drawing a perpendicular line from the center of
the two dots being connected and doing the same on the others. In performing the latter, this helps
determine the area of responsibility.

While for the Isohyetal method, through drawing lines of equal precipitation (which comes off like a
contour like), we determine the estimated mean precipitation across an area. It also uses topography
and other data to yield at that point of estimation. In finding the Pav, adding up the prospect estimated
area to the next line, then dividing it by two to get the average P of it.
