CHEBET’S BEST DAY

During the arts and crafts period, our teacher brought out the materials
from the store. He said, ‘Here are the things you brought last Friday. What
will you make using these materials?’

‘We will make ropes mats, balls, toy cars and pots, ‘we all answered. The
teacher asked us to get into groups. We made the toy cars and pots
using clay and ropes using sisal. We also made balls, mats and bags
using banana fibres.

The teacher looked at the things we made and said that they were
good. We had made ropes for tying the goats at home. The balls were
for playing with. We displayed the toy cars and pots in the class. After the
lesson we cleaned the place where we were working. I love Fridays
because we make things during the art and craft periods.
