Intern - Client Capabilities Network, India

Who you'll work with

You will join one of the research or analytics groups based in our India offices for six months as an intern
within the Client Capability Network (CCN).

CIB Insights Intern: You’ll be based with Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) Insights team in our
Gurgaon office, as an integral and strategic part of our Global Corporate & Investment practice. CIB
Insights acts as a one-stop portal for Global CIB data, insights and research needs, with seamless flow
of information across all assets. In addition, you will work with the CIB Insights leaders as well as with
CIB practitioners around the globe.

India Research Intern: You’ll work with the India Research & Insights (India R&I) team located in our
office in Gurgaon. The India R&I team specializes in local content expertise on India level topics through
secondary and primary research that includes expert interviews and market surveys.

India Sourcing Center Intern: You’ll work with the India Sourcing Center (ISC), an internal team part of
the Operations practice located in Gurgaon. Together with our Sourcing Centers in China, Southeast
Asia, Europe, and America, the ISC assists consulting teams by analyzing and synthesizing information,
conducting research, and developing knowledge on global sourcing topics.

Orpheus Intern: You’ll work with and will be part of our Digital Procurement team. You’ll be based in our
McKinsey Knowledge Center in Gurgaon. This group is part of our Product Development & Procurement
Center of Competence.

PrimeX Intern: You’ll be part of the PrimeX domain within Healthcare Systems & Services (HSS)
Practice and will be based out of Gurgaon. This team uses healthcare data (payer / provider / 3rd party
data), advanced analytics techniques in combination of descriptive & predictive analytics, along with core
consulting skills to answer some of the most pressing questions our healthcare payor clients have.

TMTi Intern: You’ll be based in the Gurgaon office, as a part of the Technology, Media and Telecom
intelligence (TMTi) team.

What you’ll do

You will create impact for clients and gain exposure to working with client service teams, with the
support of your team and under the guidance of your team's leadership.

CIB Insights Intern: You will help build full end-to-end insights infrastructure, which includes the
practice’s proprietary data, survey and benchmark assets (both existing and new). You will help set in
place the building blocks to provide cutting-edge, deep analytical research on the Global CIB industry to
enable delivery of world-class advisory services to our clients.

India Research Intern: In this role you will leverage your research and analytical skills to be a thought-
partner to client teams and clients in order to prioritize research projects. You’ll identify the data,
information, and analysis that will support problem-solving efforts. Additionally, you’ll synthesize findings
by preparing end-products including written memos, numerical analyses and presentations.

India Sourcing Center Intern: You will research a wide variety of global sourcing topics, the majority of
which will be related to operations and purchasing. This entails finding suppliers in relevant categories,
creating supplier profiles, and conducting supply market analysis. You will coordinate supplier interview
process to potential suppliers from various industries for understanding their detailed capabilities, as well
as supply market in general. As final step you will be asked to summarize, synthesize, and package
research findings in client-ready format. Research findings can be communicated in the form of
PowerPoint presentations, or Excel models.

Orpheus Intern: You will deliver and implement Orpheus by McKinsey solution with our consulting
teams and at times, directly with clients. This will include working on spend cube development, spend
analysis, category analytics solution and other digital procurement related assets deliveries. You will
build working and domain knowledge for project deliveries and manage the solution usage.

PrimeX Intern: You will deliver high quality analytical outputs using healthcare claims data that helps
solve a given business problem or use-case. You will own the analysis and excel models that you'll
create as part of analytical outputs. You will conduct research on a variety of topics on healthcare, payor
policies and industry best practices with respect to care management, medical cost reduction, identifying
fraud, waste and abuse.

TMTi Intern: You will perform a range of research tasks, including collecting statistics and other
information for Telecom, High Tech and Media industries. Over time, you will develop expertise in one or
more areas and help the firm build its knowledge base in these areas. You’ll provide our clients and
consultants with insights on various industries in India and APAC countries. Your work will be
multifaceted and exciting, and you will gain insights into many industries and topics.

Qualifications
 Third year B.Tech students from all streams of Punjab Engineering College
 Sound understanding of financial, economic, analytical and general business concepts
 Excellent written and verbal communication skills
 Ability to gather, analyze and synthesize information and knowledge
 Intellectual curiosity and an international perspective
 Exceptional analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills
 Outstanding records of academic achievement
 Desire to learn and develop, within a dynamic, self-led organization
 Skills to communicate complex ideas effectively
 Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
 Proficiency in Microsoft Office (e.g. Word, Excel and PowerPoint) required; advanced knowledge
(e.g. Alteryx, Tableau, R , Python, SQL) is a plus
