at site for ready reference.

Are underground utilities checked below by means of appropriate detector through as build drawings, and
marked accordingly at the work location Electrical Sewer Communications Storm water Gas
Line.
Adequate access and egress for the workers are provided for every 25 ft.
Adequate pedestrian crossing bridges is installed for every 100 mts. Interval or as per needed to avoid public
inconvenience
If underground utilities found, trial hole system (manual digging) is followed?
Concrete barricades in the residential / heavy pedestrian area are provided without gap in between.
Concrete barricade gap (Other than residential area) shall not be more than 75 cm.
Plastic (orange) barricade safety net shall be fixed continuously to cover the gap between concrete barricades
and ensure that no opening shall be present.
The edge of concrete barricade base footing shall be 75 cm away from the edge of excavation as a minimum
safety clearance.
Blinking lights every 5 meters must be installed on top of the concrete barricade.
Light bulb shall be properly fixed continuously on top of the concrete barrier for every 2 mts.
LED strip light (GREEN COLOR) shall be properly fixed continuously on top of the concrete barrier.
Beacon light shall be provided every 10 meters and must be installed 170 cm above the ground.
Project details Information board shall be provided in both ends of the excavation trench length.
Sign boards indicating deep excavation, men at work, slow speed, directions etc. are sufficiently installed.
Confirm that the entire working area is isolated to traffic and general public.
All heavy equipment’s shall be free from leaks and maintained in good working condition, Equipment checklist
is provided and 3rd party certification and other legal documents are in place and available.
All the Heavy Equipment operators shall be competent, have Saudi Licenses and 3rd party certified.
All heavy equipment have fire extinguisher in place.
Construction Materials must be stored properly and shall be away from the edge of excavation, without
disturbing the traffic and general public.
Sufficient no. of temporary pedestrian crossing bridges is to be provided to avoid inconvenience for public.
Good site housekeeping in the work area is maintained.
30Kph Speed Limit warning signage is installed /post around excavated trench.
Ensure that have information board indicating "Excavation Works in Progress" before 50mts of excavated
trench.
