LESSON NOTE FORMAT FOR 2013 ACADEMIC YEAR

TEACHER’S NAME: _lidete w/Senbet ______ _________________ SUBMISSION DATE: _____

SUBJECT: _physics_______________ WEEK: ____________
GRADE & SEC: _10___________ PAGES: ___________
CHAPTER/UNIT: __six____________________________ PERIOD/WEEK _________
TOPICS ___reflection of _light
___________________________________________________________________
LESSON OBJECTIVE/S -explain what is mean by reflection of light
-State the law of reflection.

Summarized Note
-Reflection is the change in direction of a wave front at an interface between two different media so that
that the wave front returns in to the medium from which it originated. Common examples of reflection are
light, sound and water waves.
-Rectilinear propagation is a wave property by which waves travel in straight lines.
-The law of reflection obeys the following two simple rules.
I. The angle of reflection which is equal to the angle of incidence.
II. The reflected ray lies in the plane which contains the incident ray and the normal line.

EXCERSISES/HOMEWORK

1. Define reflection of light.

2. Explain what is meant by propagation of light.
3. State the law of reflection
4. Use the law of reflection to explain how image are formed in a plane mirror

TOPLCS –Reflection of light
LESSON OBJECTIVE/S – defining plane mirror
SUMMERIZED NOTE (THE DAILY NOTE SHOULD NOT EXCEED THE SPACE PROVIDED BELOW)

-A plane mirror is a mirror with a flat (planers) reflective surface. For light rays striking a plane mirror, the
angle of reflection equals the angle of incidence.
-Image an optically formed reproduction of an object.
-Plane mirrors are used in periscopes for signaling in kaleidoscopes to see round dangerous bends in meters
as mirror tiles.
-Plane mirrors always produce virtual images because they never focus light into single converging point.
TELEGRAM EXCERSISES/HOMEWORK

1. Define plane mirror

2. Define image
3. Mention uses of plane mirrors
4. Distinguish between real and virtual images
5. Why a plane mirror can’t produce ረ
