In the study of Business Development Company (2019), it stated that managing
performance improves productivity and profits. Unfortunately, however, many
organizations do not comprehend the process and it is often simply a paper-shuffling exercise with little significance. To create a win-win situation employee performance management requires a constant and regular face-to-face dialog that strengthens interactions between staff and manager and drives the business forward. In managing employees in an organization we can use different management styles that help better interaction between manager and employees. The researcher chose to use persuasive and democratic management style to identify which management has better effect on the productivity of the employee. Specifically, this study will examine the comparison between the two management styles; persuasive and democratic management styles that affect the employee’s productivity level in the workplace. This investigation aims to determine the significant difference between persuasive and democratic management styles to the level of productivity of the employees in selected fast food chains in Cebu. The goal of this comparative analysis is to give a general review of what management style they can used in operating their company and to let them distinguish between the two management styles which may aid in their decision-making. In an international research study conducted by Karim, Rahman & Salleh (2014), in a new era of modernization, organizations runs in fast pace to attain its goals and objectives, people are a significant component of running smoothly for an organizations. A manager plays a vital role in guiding their people to achieve the goals and objectives. They have certain kinds of capabilities by which this power influences styles of management, because management style has an impact on the level of employee motivation and job satisfaction and the motivation of employees is influenced by changing ambitions and management style with which they work or socialize (Toyosi, Yusuf & Sakiru, 2013). Also in the study of Mohammad, Tahir, Yousafzai & Jan (2014), using the questionnaire and the interview to collect relevant data analysed statistically using SPSS correlation analysis, the findings show that there is a significant relationship between leadership style and productivity in an organization . This study has observed that organizational management and management style have affected their organizations ' ability to achieve corporate goals and objectives. The extent to which these goals of performance and growth are achieved is determined mostly by the type of management style used in the organization that accounts for its efficiency and effectiveness. In the study of Stephen (2014), the persuasive style of management had a beneficial impact on results and to the employee’s productivity. It meant that managers were very particular about achieving outcomes and only encouraged staff to do their utmost to boost productivity. The Company of the Year Award (COYA) winners in Kenya investigated the effects of democratic management style on the performance of senior managers; the results suggested that applying a democratic management style has a positive impact on employee performance. The variance analysis showed that participatory leadership style had a significant impact on the performance of employees (Lumbasi, K’Aol & Ouma, 2016).
