Instructions: Answer each item in not less than 5 but not more than 8 sentences.

1. Give the relevance of studying literature, particularly the classics (Great Books) in your future
profession.

Literature makes us leave the reality and transport us into a whole new world. This is what
we need to improve our way of life. We can get some knowledge and experiences that only a
certain people who can relate. Great Books as a subject help us discover book that can help our
journey in the future. Books that have a lesson help us grow as a person and entertain us as well.

2. Tell why fictions, though products of human’s rich imagination, are considered to be anchored in
the realities of life.

Reading a fiction is very important. It helps us aware into the real world and grow as a
person in a young age. When we are reading fictions we usually imagining the characters
perspective. That means it connect us and deepen our understanding of other people. Fictions
shaped us to become human.

3. Discuss the importance of setting as an element of narratives in understanding the depth of the
story.

Setting is the time, place and weather where the scene occurs. It is very important in a story
because it setup the mood of the story. It also reflect the situation of the characters and it give us
information where the scene takes place. Without setting the story will become confusing, there are
lack of information at all. As a reader you will not get the scene of the story and you will be lost.
Setting is the backbone of a story and it must always be exist in all scenes.
