Laboratory Sessions and other Activities

First Bimonthly

This picture was taken during human

dissection in anatomy laboratory. I
was assigned as the lead dissector of
the group. We were removing the
skin of the cadaver to expose the
muscles at the back for tagging and
identification.

Dissection in Anatomy Laboratory

Second Bimonthly
This picture was taken during the
practical exam per group where only
two members per group were picked
to point the structures asked by Dr.
Permites. I was one of the two, and
during this time as shown in the
picture I was pointing specifically the
“sympathetic trunk”

Practical Exam per group

The picture shows one of our lab

sessions, it is during the blood
pressure determination. I was putting
the cuff and trying to check if the cuff
is snuggly fit by inserting two of my
fingers, making sure that it is not too
loose or too tight to avoid error in
results.

breathe in deeply to clearly hear the sounds. chest leads and the limb leads. We were
also taught how to use the machine.

After ECG, we got our printed ECG. In

the photo we are trying to cut results
of different leads to interpret them as
part of our task in the lab.

This is also one of our lab sessions,

this is for coagulation test, we were
waiting for 5 minutes to pass while
maintaining the blood pressure for
the torinquet test, which tests for
vascular function.

Torniquet Test

This is our first ever interaction with a

patient in a hospital setting. We were
assigned to ask one of the outpatients
for a brief history taking as part our
PDR activity at JR Borja Hospital.
