Subject – Assessment details (Grade 6)

Dear Parent,

We, at GIIS Ahmedabad, wish to appreciate the active involvement of our parents at the first
ever Virtual PTM held last week. We also wish to thank many of you for sending wonderful
emails and messages of appreciation of our innovative ways of imparting education in spite of
the constraints. I must confess here with all my sincerity that it was only possible to provide
quality education on Virtual platform with your encouraging support, co-operation and the
earnest dedication of our teachers.

We begin with our first assessment from 13th July. Assessments are integral component of the
teaching – learning process. They should be considered as periodic evaluations at regular
intervals for us to see how the children are grasping various concepts. They are not yearend
examinations and so need to view them with a positive approach.

Dear Parents, for the smooth conduct of this assessment, we request for your constructive
involvement. Collaboration is a key here. On our turn we are going out all the way to explore a
new possibility to conduct this assessment but we shall require your help as under. However if
you have any genuine inconvenience, you may contact Padma Tare
at pa.ahmedabad@globalindianschool.org and we shall definitely find some ways to address
your concerns.
