Before becoming a community college professor, I
served as an English teacher in the Bay Area. My greatest hope is to contribute to my community through my teaching and my service to others, and I love the opportunity to be able to work with such dynamic people/students.
Though I am an instructor, I consider myself a life-long student and
understand the dedication it takes to pursue a dream; I have a MA in Education from UC Santa Barbara, and I was fortunate to receive my Ph.D in English from UC Berkeley; here I spent many late nights under the flickering florescent lights in the library. I truly understand the hard work it takes to be a student, and I will do my best to support you in this endeavor.
When I'm not teaching, I am driving my two children around to their
sporting events, kayaking whenever I can, and binge watching Netflicks (during the summer). I am known for laughing hard (usually at myself) and for my dedication to my family and my teaching.
