1. Describe what you can do to advocate the use of the 14
Learning-Centered Psychological Principles. Answer: I will encourage and support learners' natural curiosity and motivation to learn by attending to individual differences in learners' perceptions of optimal novelty and difficulty, relevance, and personal choice and control. 2. Cite teaching strategies and explain how these teaching strategies consider student diversity. Answer: Cooperative learning Encourage students of mixed abilities to work together by promoting small group or whole class activities. Through verbally expressing their ideas and responding to others your students will develop their self-confidence, as well as enhance their communication and critical thinking skills which are vital throughout life. Solving mathematical puzzles, conducting scientific experiments and acting out short drama sketches are just a few examples of how cooperative learning can be incorporated into classroom lessons.
3. What are your thinking/learning styles? What are your
dominant multiple intelligences? Answer: The thinking/learning styles that I have are I am a kinesthetic learner and I also prefer reading/writing styles in this way I can easily understand the lesson. Also, I am more on self-reflection and self-application wherein if I discover something new from the discussion or in the lesson I will apply it to myself. I am not as intelligent and gifted like the other people but I am accepting myself of who I’m truly is. I am trying to improve and develop myself everyday even if it’s just a little improvement but at least there is. That’s what matters most for me.
