Professional Learning Department, Comal ISD New Braunfels, TX
Coordinator of the K-12 G/T program, K-8 Robotics program, Academic UIL, Paradigm Challenge, K-12 Chess
program, Stock Market Game, AVID District Director as well as serve on the Professional Learning Team.
Facilitated district Twitter Chats, Twitter Challenges, and Twitter Fairy as initiatives to encourage Twitter usage and
collaboration over our district’s 589 square miles.
Instituted #ComalGT, #ComalAVID, #ComalFLL, #ComalChess to brand programs, enable digital collaboration
across district, and to better communicate with the community.
Proposed and delivered three separate presentations about various topics of digital learning at the Texas Computer
Educators’ Association (TCEA) Conference in 2018.
Supervised K-12 G/T program, including planning, proposing and managing the budget, conducting monthly G/T
meetings, overseeing identification, appeals, assessment, and professional development for the district.
Host meetings for 6-8 AVID Site Coordinators, Academic UIL campus coordinators, and Paradigm Challenge

Guide Chess coaches, Robotics coaches, and Stock Market Game Coaches one-on-one and digitally.
Implemented and currently manage online assessment platforms for CogAT (Houghton Mifflin Harcourt) and
Naglieri Nonverbal Ability Test (Pearson) including bulk and individual student uploads and report creation.
Created procedures to standardized program processes in all programs, specifically a G/T facilitator guidebook
detailing all operations with local board and state policies, a digital G/T identification flow-map with hyperlinked
forms and letters to ensure each campus maintains the same standard of communication, and AVID Google Shared
drive with CCI for evidence collection.
Worked to bring 21st century skills and best practices to the G/T program including Project Based Learning, 3D
Printing, and MakerSpaces.
Assisted the Director of Professional Learning in hosting ComalU, the district’s summer teacher-led professional
learning conference, EdCamps, New Teacher Training, Substitute Training, and Senior Associate training.
Grown the AVID program from 8 campuses to 10 campuses as AVID District Director. Hire campus tutors, oversee
enrollment growth, and data collection for each campus.
Manage registration and deliver professional development for 50+ educators for AVID Summer Institute.
Initiated “Avid Strategy of the Month” contest to help clarify and advertise AVID strategies.
Grew the robotics program by 190 elementary students and 97 students in middle school with team advancing to the
regional and state competition levels.
Hosted FIRST Lego League tournaments for 32 teams, working with FIRST, 50+ volunteers, and student groups.
Revived district initiative of chess K-12 by supporting chess coaches and programs on all 30 campuses, setting forth
program expectations and providing professional development opportunities to chess coaches.
Grew chess program from 1 yearly tournament to 3 tournaments with 300 students each, ensuring access for students
in each feeder pattern.
Implemented and currently manage new district competition, The Paradigm Challenge, focusing on innovation and
community, including rules, Coaches’ Online Guidebook, and hosted Paradigm Challenge Night with expert judges.
Coordinated educators utilizing Stock Market Game and provided support and sought out professional learning
opportunities for district staff to increase their knowledge.
Hosted Stock Market Game regional award ceremony in which several Comal ISD teams were named state
champions.
Currently working on a new district-wide initiative to encourage student participation in district-sponsored events.
K-12 INSTRUCTIONAL TECHNOLOGY COACH JUL. 2015-JUL. 2017
Comal ISD New Braunfels, TX
Delivered faculty, department, and individual training about campus-specific technology needs, highlighting
research-based best practices.
Communicated and collaborated with district and campus administrators to identify trends in campus data to better
target needs and deliver applicable training.
Co-taught lessons with classroom teachers, as well as guide teachers to create content to innovate their classroom
content and procedures.
Launched the first district Twitter Chats to help connect teachers across the district.
Taught many digital learning courses specializing in effective usage of technology to enhance student engagement at
Comal U, the district’s June and August professional learning conference.
Assisted with the rollout of bond-issued technology to 28 campuses district wide.
Served on the District Digital Advisory Committee team, giving feedback and suggestions concerning technology
needs in the district.

MIDDLE SCHOOL GIFTED AND TALENTED SOCIAL STUDIES TEACHER JUL. 2010-JUN.2015
Cross Timbers Middle School, Grapevine-Colleyville ISD Grapevine, TX
Implemented and managed one of the first digital classrooms in the district, with a 1-1 ratio of iPads and a 1-3 ratio
of MacBook Airs for 2 years. The third year, I took the opportunity to change devices from iPads/MacBooks to
Chromebooks in order to launch the pilot year of Google Edu Suite products.
Instructed Gifted and Talented, PreAP, and On-Level 7th grade students in Texas History using research-based
practices.
AVID elective teacher and site team member, promoting strategies that use writing, inquiry, collaboration,
organization, reading, and rigor.
Served on District Common Semester Exam Creation team and the District Textbook Adoption Committee.
Led Project-Based Learning (PBL) Implementation Team, coaching the staff on PBL methodology and best
practices.
At various times, coached Dance, Cheer, and sponsored Student Council.
Sponsored Student Council, raised over $800 for a local community aid organization, over 28 boxes of supplies for
our troops overseas, and gathered necessities for a local animal shelter.
Dyslexia Chair of the history department, facilitating information receiving at trainings to the team.

St. Pius X Parish School San Antonio, TX
Instructed 6, 7, and 8 grade students in World, Texas, and American History, shifting the focus from the
Archdiocesan curriculum to the Core Knowledge curriculum.
Reenergized the American History course by implementing new textbooks for the first time in 15 years.
Directed the middle school Drama elective and produced the semester play.
Implemented new elective, “Cultural Literacy through Film”, in which students explored current events and
world issues through the use of film.
Coached Varsity and Junior Varsity Volleyball
Assisted the launch of school “House System” and acted as sponsor of the Amanda Boyle House.
