The document discusses how indigenous knowledge has traditionally contributed to managing natural resources in a sustainable way in India. It notes that ancient Indian saints practiced preserving plant life for humanity's benefit. Specifically, traditional farming aims to boost plant immunity from germination to increase yields and productivity while reducing infections and chemical use. This allows farmers to economically develop through wider cultivation while conserving water resources to cope with low rainfall. The overall objective is to describe how indigenous knowledge protects and manages natural resources for sustainable development.

Currently our main motto of traditional cultivation is to increase the plant immunity right from germination onwards, thereby increasing the yield and productivity by decreasing the infections that affect the plant kingdom , thereby reducing the usage of chemicals. Our ancient saints like PARASARA have practiced and proved the importance of preservation of plant kingdom for the benefit of mankind. Main points: 1.To reduce the usage of chemical fertilizers and to enhance healthy food supply and productivity. 2. Thereby farmer can economically develop as a result cultivation can widely uplifted. 3. Conserving of water resources to face low rain fall.
