Sopo is a town in Cundinamarca, it is located 30km northof bogota, but this place is hotter and is
more humid than Bogota. The weather in sopo generally is cool but sometimes is hot and hardly
ever is could.
Although Sopo is more quiet than Bogota, Bogota is more crowded than sopo but Sopo is more
touristic because it has many fantastic places to relax, to venture, to sare family time.
There are many ecological parks, el parquet ecologico Pionono is the largest natural park, pionono
is the highest part in sopo and you can see all town, the main objective when you can vist this park
is to relax for that you should not to listen to loud music. This is a large natural reserve and it is a
home to many species of animals for that you should throw garbage.
You can find el parque Puente sopo, this park is smaller than pionono but is perfect when you don’t
have much time. This wonderful ecosystem, endowed thit a great variety of fauna and flora, is the
ideal destination for those looking to live different experiences without going any further. Las
garzas is the most touristic part in this place, is a long river that runs through the park.
Still if you like the adventure, you should visit the parquet Jaime Duque, this is a theme park ispired
by family recreations, there are monuments of the ancient world, a scale map of Colombia, low
impact mechanic attractions, an exhibition of the costumes of the word, a museum of man in the
universe.
If you like the birds you should go to the aves internacionales Colombia, this is the most beautiful
and colorful place in town, you can listen to the birds songs, and see many species of birds
But if you prefer the horses you should visit the bosque ecuestre, you can rided horse, in this place
there is a large river where there are many colorful fish.
In sopo there are many golf club where you can play, the club golf militar is the biggest golf course,
however Britania golf club is more beautiful than club militar
If you like extreme sports you can practice the most extreme sports such as paraglinding and
canopy.
However if you prefere religious places you should visit the santuario del señor de la Piedra, this is
the most important religious symbol in sopo
