As shown above, there is a lot of reasons why university students must put more emphasis on
work skills than intellectual development. Students from more places worldwide should have
been taking into count in the research if we want to do a global study. However, the research
done in European countries shows that there is an increment in students studying business and
acquiring MBAs. We can tell that the competition for jobs in the workplace has been increasing
more in the past years. With this, the job market is more fluid and fuller of more skilled workers
globally. New research should be done about whether the skills are, in effect, more important
than intellectual development. Perhaps, this could help to build more intellectual job competition
in the future.
