Matric Number: MBA203CR667

Name: SAMAH ALI OMAR BAMANSOOR

2020
Challenges of Global Information Systems, you’ll discuss how to meet the demands of global
operations with international ISS to accommodate the free flow of information both within a
single company's divisions and between multinational corporations. Among many things, you’ll
learn to:

 Explain why multinational corporations must use global information systems.

 Provide elementary advice for designing websites for an international audience.
 Cite the cultural, legal, and other challenges to implementing international information
systems.
 Articulate the difference between structured and unstructured decision making.
 Give examples of how decision support systems and expert systems are used in various
domains.
1) Explain why multinational corporations must use global information systems.

Multinational corporations are defined as companies under the control of multiple nationalities

around the world, managed by people of multiple nationalities as well, and these companies

practice their various activities in different foreign countries, although their strategies, plans and

policies are directed To work in a particular State in what is known as the mother State, but the

work of such companies goes beyond the territorial national boundaries of the mother State and

extends to other States known as host State.

The reason why they should use technology at first is to provide less effort Modern technologies

used in the business sector, such as applications and electronic software, provide the human effort

necessary to carry out many tasks and limit this human effort in analysis and decision making.

Secondly, save time and costs When technology performs most of the roles played by the human

element, it shortens the time to carry out the tasks and activities of the start-up companies, thereby

reducing the operating expenses of the staff. Thirdly, Communication and outreach Smart

communication using the Internet has become the best way to communicate between corporate

employees and perform common tasks such as meeting, managing and automating internal

processes. Finally, Measuring and improving performance Technology has facilitated the

process of measuring performance for companies, which has greatly helped in the development of

work methods based on the performance results of employees and the techniques used in the

implementation of business.
2) Provide elementary advice for designing websites for an international audience.

In the last few years, web design has been influenced by many different trends that are constantly

changing, but there are many things that affect design that cannot go away with time. One of

these trends is the simplicity of Minimalism, because this concept has always been very popular

in various media throughout the ages.

elementary advice for designing websites for an international audience as follows.Firslty, Keep

away from what is unnecessary Think of what is important to the content you provide or the

function of your site, then focus only on these things and try to cancel anything else that does not

contribute directly to this content or function.Secondly,Use large fonts If you want to truly

appreciate Minimalism in web design, you should take a look at the website of Brian Danaher, an

art director, painter and designer. As you can see, the site depends mainly on two things: large

fonts that help you to read them easily and the page layout that is based on a single-column

layout. Thirdly, Easy browsing Some people, regardless of the navigation menu when designing

their website, but can have a big impact in bringing a touch of simplicity to your website, the list

of the page merging nicely with the background of the site is of great importance in making the

site simple Minimalism.finally,Use colors to draw attention You can add some colors in certain

areas of your site, which makes the site simple and Minimalism in addition to it becomes easy

for the user to focus on the important things on any page of the site. By adding some colors here

and there on your site, you will draw users' attention to specific things of great importance.
3) Cite the cultural, legal, and other challenges to implementing international information
systems.

IT departments face major challenges arising from rapid changes in information technology

Including the preparation of accounts, inspection and inspection management has a large

number of players in order to learn about the benefits of these economies and the foundations

of modern technology It is believed that this is a realistic demonstration of the importance of

the modern mathematics.

Below are the main challenges for the implementing international information systems:

1. Provide qualified human resources to manage information systems

2. Recognize the importance and trust of the IT department

3. Information and communication technology infrastructure

4. Use IT to achieve competitive advantages

4) Articulate the difference between structured and unstructured decision making.

Decisions can vary from structured to unstructured. They can be differentiated in that structured

decisions have a well-defined methodology for finding a solution and have the data to reach a

decision. They are usually straight forward and made on a regular basis.

An example of a structured decision in my company is whether or not to withdraw funds from an

international account depending on the current exchange rate. Unstructured decision relies on

knowledge and/or expertise and often require data and models to solve. Similar has has happened

with me when I joined engineering in the first year of my bachelor degree just because everyone

is saying so. I did not study that decision from different angles. that’s why I had to change major

later on from mechanical to manufacting.

An example of an unstructured decision in my company is what types of new content should be

created and what market should be targeted. In my company slimier case has happened. When

the company decides to buy dollars and keep it for the purchases with the currency of Euros. So,

they just bought it without studying it. that caused the company to buy during high rate and

eventually it causes higher cost into the raw materials purchases.

5) Give examples of how decision support systems and expert systems are used in various
domains.

In my company, SAJA where I work there are some circumstances happened where they are two

sides for the same job which has been done. Many domains are filled by the decision support

systems such as the following:

 Classification - identify an object based on stated characteristics. The expert system today

can play a nice role in classification and without it we will not be able to share easy

knowledge to other departments.

 Monitoring - compare data from a continually observed system to prescribe behavior

No system will share feedback of no monitoring accord and if we just apply system

without monitoring then no grantee of high result.

 Scheduling & Planning - develop or modify a plan of action.

To make schedule for production and plan for future orders you need expert system to

help you on do the RM check first then labor check then machine capacity. Without those

we will not have feasibility over the plan. Expert systems help a lot on that.
