Responsibilities 

The Data Science team is established as the central team to develop machine learning 
practices for beGroup JSC. The Head of Data Science will have opportunities to lead a team of 
talented Viet minds, with past experiences from Cambridge, Edinburgh, Trusting Social, 
Thomson Reuters, Tiki, GHN, etc., to work on huge varieties of problems across sales and 
marketing, demand and supply forecast, stochastic vehicle routing, fraud and abnormal 
detection, revenue optimization, credit risk assessment, and many more other areas. 
 
We work with business, product, and engineering teams to deliver state of the art AI solutions 
using Python/Spark/R. The successful candidate will lead the efforts to propose advanced 
analytics to drive business value, including but not limited to: 
● Understand business domain and relevant datasets 
● Provide end-to-end advanced solutions to design, develop, and deploy to production 
system 
● Build the CI-CD practice to manage models regarding quick experiments and feedback 
loop 
● Communicate analytics results and machine learning model details with business and 
stakeholders 
● Managed a team of experienced data scientists and machine learning engineers 
 
Qualifications 
Required 
● Excellent problem solving and advanced data science/analytics skills 
● Graduate degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, or relevant fields + a 
minimum of 5 years of experience developing data science solutions primary of 
machine learning nature 
● Familiarity with the process of developing and implementing industry standard machine 
learning solutions for classification, prediction, time series analysis, clustering, 
recommendation system 
● Familiarity with optimization techniques, including but not limited to: hill climbing 
search, linear programming, dynamic programing, etc. 
● Proficiency with programming in Python, SQL, Spark, R 
● Exceptional communication, leadership, lateral thinking, and presentation skills 
Preferred 
● PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, or relevant fields 
● Experience with credit risk modeling using alternative data 
● Experience with stochastic and/or deterministic vehicle routing problem 
● Experience with deep learning techniques
