Reluctant Glasswork

Dear mam,

Sub: Application for Appraisal Review

There has been recent performance review conducted a week before on 20 thAugust, 2019. I
respect the company’s process and its organizational structure but I feel that I haven’t been
evaluated properly in this review.

I was given a score of 5.5 out of 10 and my salary hike of 8% was much lower than what I
had expected. I would like to draw your attention to some of my valuable contributions to this
firm- increase in sales growth of shatter proof glass by 40% to name a few.

It is my earnest request to revaluate my work and to revise my salary hike and performance.

Yours sincerely,

WATER CRISIS
There is a water crisis today. But the crisis is not about having too little water to satisfy our
needs. It is a crisis of managing water so badly that billions of people - and the environment -
suffer badly.

India's water crisis is often attributed to lack of government planning, increased corporate

privatization, industrial and human waste and government corruption. In addition, water
scarcity in India is expected to worsen as the overall population is expected to increase to 1.6
billion by year 2050. To that end, global water scarcity is expected to become a leading cause
of national political conflict in the future, and the prognosis for India is no different.

Whatever the means, India needs solutions now. Children in 100 million homes in the
country lack water, and one out of every two children are malnourished. Environmental
justice needs to be restored to India so that families can raise their children with dignity, and
providing water to communities is one such way to best ensure that chance. Improving water
infrastructure must be a priority, as water conservation and efficiency are key components of
sustainable water management. Rainwater harvesting and recycled wastewater also allow to
reduce scarcity and ease pressures on groundwater and other natural water bodies. Also
addressing pollution, measuring and monitoring water quality should be of utmost
importance. So, there's no right time to start, the need of the hour is to start taking measures
right away.
