The Ministry of the Interior and Local Government thru the Development Coordinating Office (DCO) has

facilitated the Oath Taking Ceremony for the Administrator and Area Coordinators of the sixty-three (63)
barangays of North Cotabato that joined the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao
(BARMM) today, June 30, 2020 at around 9am. The oath-taking ceremony was headed by the Chief
Minister of BARMM, Hon. Ahod B. Ibrahim together with other officials and functionaries.

The activity is conducted to confer the delegated power of the Chief Minister over the sixty-three (63)
barangays that will comprise the Special Geographic Development Authority which will be headed by an
Administrator and assisted by eight (8) cluster coordinators. The Chief Minister also reminded the new
officials that their oath is not only to the Philippine Constitution or to the bylaws of BOL but specifically
to the Almighty Allah. He further emphasized to them that serving the people doesn’t only mean
extending services but should address all the concerns and problems of the community.
