Plot: Krawzowa Darja d81sp

On a hot day, a woman rides a train with three young children-her two nieces and a nephew. A
man is also sitting in the train car. Children run amok and refuse to sit still. Children especially
like to ask questions that start with " Why?". The man in the car is annoyed with the children
and glares at them. In response, the aunt decides that he is "an evil, unfriendly person."
The aunt calls the children to tell them a story, and they are reluctant to sit down because they
don't think she is a good storyteller.
An aunt tells a story about "a little girl who was good. " The little girl has made a lot of friends
and these people save her from the wild bull because she is good. The children interrupt the story
to ask a few questions that the aunt can't answer. Children call this story stupid.
The man who was traveling with them decided to tell his story about a girl who was good.
He talks about a girl named Bertha. He describes how good she was. This person goes on to say
that Bertha received many medals for being good, and she wore them with pride, letting them
make a noise as she walked around the city. One day, the Prince of the country heard about how
good Bertha was, and decided to let her walk in his Park, which was usually reserved for adults.
Analysis:
The main question of this story is about the responsibility of adults for raising children. Аunt
seems to think that disciplining children is the most important thing, and she clearly doesn't
appreciate fostering natural curiosity in children. On the other hand, a man does not seem to feel
responsible at all for teaching children to behave in a certain way, except to question authority.
The story does not say that one point of view is correct, the aunt and the bachelor are shown as
problematic characters. Thus, the reader is left to determine the moral for themselves and think
about their views on parenting.
The man's story can be seen as a satire on the aunt's story, and the author demonstrates that the
reader's attention should be focused on the man's story by describing it in detail. This man's story
challenges the idea that good behavior will lead to good luck.
My impression of the main characters:
Aunt is very traditional.Besides, she's a bad storyteller. As the children point out in the story, the
aunt is notorious for her bad stories.
Children are incredibly energetic. They are equally curious. Almost everything my aunt says
comes with the word " why?" They can't just stay silent and sit still.
The bachelor is very annoyed with the children and tries to calm them down. This indicates that
he has a low level of tolerance. He is also a great storyteller. the children loved his story, much to
their aunt's chagrin.
Bertha is the main character in the bachelor story. She is self-centered and narcissistic, not even
noticing the wolf that entered the garden because she was too busy looking at her reflection. As a
result, it is eaten by a wolf...
