The biorisk management system:
Establishes the biorisk management principles that enable laboratories and related facilities to achieve
their biosafety and biosecurity objectives;
Defines the essential components of a biorisk management system framework to be integrated into a laboratory or
other related organization’s overall governance, strategy and planning, management, reporting processes, policies,
values, and culture
Describes a comprehensive biorisk management process that mitigates biorisks
(biosafety and biosecurity risks); and
Provides guidance on the implementation and use of the standard, where appropriate.
The biorisk management system is based on a management system approach, which enables an organization to

SNKAI atau Seminar Nasional Kimia Analitik dan Instrumentasi HKI pertama kali diadakan pada 2012. Pelaksanaannya di Jakarta
Convention Center, bekerja sama dengan Lab Indonesia. Kegiatan pameran peralatan lab terbesar di Indonesia itu sebetulnya
dimulai pada 2010, dua tahun sebelumnya, untuk selanjutnya dilaksanakan setiap 2 tahun. Pengurus Pusat HKI memberi mandat
kepada HKI Cabang Jakarta untuk pelaksanaannya, setelah penandatanganan kerjasama HKI dan Lab Indonesia. HKI-Jakarta pada
akhirnya bekerja sama dengan lembaga-lembaga di sekitar Jakarta. Pada SNKAI-2012, mitra kerjasamanya mencakup AKA Bogor,
LIPI, UI, UIN Jakarta, dan UNJ. Karena Divisi Kimia Analtik dan Instrumentasi HKI telah dibentuk saat SNKAI-2012, dan ketuanya,
Prof. Dr. Edison Munaf (alm.) terpilih pada SNKAI-2014, maka diputuskan seminar berikutnya merupakan tanggung jawab divisi ini
dari sisi keilmuan. Ketua divisi terpilih akan berkoordinasi dengan HKI Cabang Jakarta untuk penyelenggaraan seminar berikutnya.
Setelah dua kali pelaksanaan, SNKAI-2012 dan SNKAI-2014, seminar itu berubah nama menjadi Indonesian Conference on
Chemical Analysis and Instrumentation (ICCAI) sejak tahun 2016. Pada tahun 2018, IPB bergabung dalam kepanitiaan ICCAI yang
disenggarakan bersamaan dengan Asianalysis ke-14 dan tetap bekerjasama dengan Lab Indonesia. Mengangkat tema “The role of
Analytical Chemistry and Instrumentation to Improve Education, Research and Industry 4.0”, ICCAI ke-5 akan diselenggarakan
pada hari Rabu, 25 November 2020.
SNKAI or the National Seminar on Analytical Chemistry and Instrumentation for Indonesian Chemical Society (ICS) was first held in
2012. This event was conducted in collaboration with Lab Indonesia and took place at The Jakarta Convention Center. The actual
event is believed to be the largest laboratory equipment exhibition began in two years earlier (2010). The seminar and the exhibition
are simultaneously held every two years. The ICS Central Board gave a mandate to the ICS Jakarta Branch for the implementation
of the Seminar, after the signing of the MoU of collaboration between ICS and PT Lab Indonesia. For the organizing this event, ICS
Jakarta Branch includes some education and research institutions located in JABODETABEK such as Universitas Indonesia (UI),
AKA Bogor, LIPI, UIN and UNJ. The formation of The Division of Analytical Chemistry as ICS body was formed at the first SNKAI in
2012 and Prof. Dr. Edison Munaf (deceased) was elected for The Division Chairman at the 2nd SNKAI in 2014. The chairman with
coordination with the ICS Jakarta Branch are responsible for the next seminar agenda. After two implementations, SNKAI-2012 and
SNKAI-2014, in 2016 the seminar changed its name to Indonesian Conference on Chemical Analysis and Instrumentation (ICCAI),
which remains in collaboration with Lab Indonesia. In 2018, ICCAI in conjuction with Asianalysis XIV was held in Jakarta in which
IPB University joined the organizing commitee and still in collaboration with Lab Indonesia. Taking the theme of “The role of
Analytical Chemistry and Instrumentation to Improve Education, Research and Industry 4.0”, the fifth ICCAI will be held on
Wednesday, 25 November 2020.

Among the national issues related to polymer which is plastics waste, it has been noted that there are several point to
be discussed and developing the solution to the community:
1. Waste management issue (including recycling)
2. Eco-friendly plastics material
3. Consumption of plastics per capita which is still low in Indonesia
Although the use of plastics material is increasing, it has to be noted also that with the existing material, the waste is
also increasing. Fortunately, Indonesia has already moved toward better situation, because Indonesia has already law
of waste that extends the responsibility to the producer.

SNI ISO/IEC 17025:2017 merupakan standar persyaratan untuk akreditasi laboratorium pengujian dan laboratorium
kalibrasi, dimana standar ini sering digunakan dan dijadikan acuan oleh banyak laboratorium di Indonesia. Salah satu
persyaratan yang tercantum dalam SNI ISO/IEC 17025:2017 adalah evaluasi ketidakpastian pengukuran yang terdapat
pada klausul 7.6. Evaluasi ketidakpastian pengukuran harus dilakukan oleh laboratorium mulai dari pengambilan

Data hasil pengujian dapat dinyatakan memenuhi sasaran mutu data, jika data pengujian tersebut dapat memuaskan

keberterimaan. Seluruh metode dan prosedur terdokumentasi di laboratorium harus komprehensif dan holistic,

Validasi merupakan salah satu bentuk konfirmasi pengujian terhadap kinerja metode yang ada di laboratorium. Validasi
dilakukan untuk metode yang tidak baku dan metode yang dikembangkan di laboratorium, sedangkan verifikasi
metode dilakukan untuk metode yang baku dan metode standar. Perbedaan validasi mikrobiologi dengan validasi
kimia terletak pada parameter yang dilakukan dan pengelolaan sampel yang sangat sensitive terhadap kesterilan
bahan dan alat yang digunakan, sehingga parameter dalam validasi mikrobiologi memiliki aspek kritis yang perlu

The seminar will discuss how the laboratory could take part in the halal certification process. The Head of Halal Product
Assurance Agency will open the seminar by explaining the role of laboratory testing during the mandatory halal
certification process (based on Law No. 33 on Halal Product Assurance). The second speaker from The Fatwa
Committee of the Indonesian Council of Ulama will elaborate on how halal fatwa (Islamic legal ruling) was issued and
what kind of supporting data is required to be supplied by the laboratory. The speaker from Halal Laboratory LPPOM
MUI will explain the halal certification process (in general), halal material/product testing conformity according to
ISO17025 and ISO17065, and the range of services that are offered by the laboratory. In the last session, the sponsor
will explain the range of material and equipment that can support halal testing. In the event, we will launch the
OLIGOLS, in-house laboratory information system that allow online sample submission and result. After participating,
participant from various halal inspection institution LPH and the halal-certified company will have a better
