Hello everyone, welcome to our presentation today.

As y may know, The advertisement

plays an important part in our life and exist everywhere around us. It helps people know
more about different product or services and aims to promote people to experience and
buy this product. An advertisement is good if it can promote the sale of the product or
services. Today, our group will deliver to you an advertisement about the Samsung phone
galaxy S20 Ultra and analyze it to know how its advertisement can encourage customers
to purchase this product. Firstly, let’s relax and enjoy the video now.
We will analyze this ad from 4 different aspects including.
Firstly, let’s go to detail the phonological aspect that is related to the sound. There are
four small parts that will be analyzed in this aspect inclusing rhyme, rhythm, alliteration
and graphic aspect of the text.
According to Concise Oxford English Dictionary in 2004, rhyme is a pattern of “identity
of sound between words or verse-lines extending from the end to the last accented vowel
and not further.”
 Then you can take another photo from that and it will still be pin sharp.
 For Low Light we've nearly tripled the sensor size, to pull in way more light...
So you can now shoot even more of the night.
 You can grab a 33MP photo from 8K video and that shot will still be clearer than
other cameras.
 And Hyper-fast 5G means your favourite movies and shows will download in a
flash.
 Today, our AI pro-grade camera system changes how you capture photos and
videos.
The rhymes are used in 6 out of 35 sentences in the advertisement about Samsung phone.
They occur in two or more words, usually at the end of sentences. The words often rhyme
within the same line (internal rhyme) or sometimes rhyme at the ends of two consecutive
sentences (external rhyme). The application of rhyme in the advertisement is of
importance to help remember the lines and create pleasure when listening. As a result, it
aids the audiences to remember the content as well as information about the product.

Unlike the rhyme, the rhythm is related to the stress patterns and intonation.
 And this is the phone that changes mobile.
 “Hi Bixby, Shoot Super Steady.”
 So you don’t miss a moment…
 "Hi Bixby, Find my Los Angeles photos."
 “Don’t die on me!”.
 “Don’t die brother!”
 “Don’t you die on me!”
 Like rhyme, rhythm makes the video go smoother and it is like hearing a poem when
watching the advertisement.

In alliteration, words that begin with the same sound are placed close together. Although
alliteration often involves repetition of letters, most importantly, it is a repetition of sounds.
 This is the camera that changes photography.
 And this is the phone that changes mobile.
 For Low Light we've nearly tripled the sensor size, to pull in way more light... so
you can now shoot even more of the night.
 Super sophisticated AI balances camera movement to make every frame of video
just as smooth as a feature film.
 So you don’t miss a moment
 “Hi Bixby, Shoot Super Steady.”
 “Don’t die on me!”.
“Don’t die brother!”
 Alliteration is used in 7 out of 36 sentences. It is considered as a useful device to create
rhythm and musicality that give the listeners a smooth feeling. In addition, it is used to
create some catchy phrase that the listeners can remember immediately like “Don’t die in
me”. Moreover, the advertisement utilizes alliteration such as “Hi Bixby, Shoot Super
Steady” to call attention to a new outstanding feature of this Samsung mobile.

1. Graphic aspect of the text

- Unpredictable spelling of words: No use
- Higher frequency of low-frequent letters: The result from an analysis of the letters
occurring in the words listed in the main entries of the Concise Oxford Dictionary
revealed that the rarest letters in English are J, Q, X and Z. The advertisement about the
Samsung phone does not use a lot of words containing low-frequent letters. There are
only 8 out of 373 words containing low-frequent letters including “pixels, megapixels,
zoom, size, Bixby, expertise, Knox, Galaxy”.
- Acronyms and initialisms with graphic exploitation: 8K, 5G (5th Generation), AI
(Artificial Intelligence), MP, TB. They are electronic terminologies that help the features
of the Galaxy S20 Ultra stand out.
