Layout Template
The important functions to configure a screen layout such as Full Screen, Favorite
Screen, User Profile Registration and so on have been created in this template.

The layout template consists of 50 user screens. By default, screen1 is displayed.

This template allows following settings: Login, Color, Language, Brightness and
Hardware configuration.

Security – It has 10 users. Every user profile (operation status and setting information)
can be separately managed. So that by logging in they can reach their pre-configured
settings. To save a user profile, you have to logout the selected user.

Run Time Behavior
Runtime/Simulation of this template displays a main screen with layout template. It has
following features:
• Status bar
o Login – Displays current user name and allows to select the desired user.
o Date/Time – Displays current date and time.
• Task bar
o Favorites – Frequently used screens are displayed here. Desired screens
can be selected from Navigation menu > Screens. Maximum of 10
screens can be added to Favorites bar. On exceeding the limit error,
message is displayed.
• Main window – Displays the selected user screen.
• Navigation Switch – Displays navigation menu with following options:
o Screens – Shows 5 Screen groups with 10 user screens in each. It allows
to select user screen to be displayed in main window. Frequently used
screens can also be added to Favorites bar by selecting the check box.
o Settings – Allows to select desired user, language, color, brightness and
hardware configuration.
• Full screen switch – Allows selection of screen display between full screen (only
main window) and screen with main window, status bar and task bar.
Note: The scaling of the user screen depends on screen type selected during
creation.

How to copy the objects to your project file

1. Open your project file and downloaded project file simultaneously.

2. Open the downloaded project file.


Click the Screen1 “MainFrame” and copy the screen using copy icon in global
Toolbar.

3. Open your project file.
Click “Screen1” and paste icon in global Toolbar.

4. Select “Screen ID” and “OK”. Copied screen is successfully pasted in your project.

Note: To paste the template as Screen1, delete existing Screen1 and paste it with
ID1.

5. Open the downloaded project file.
Select the Content1 to Content50 from “Contents” and copy the content using
copy icon in global Toolbar.

Note: You can also create or use existing user screen from your project. To create a
new screen, delete the existing user screen (which must be replaced) and use the
same content ID for new screen.
Create the new user screen only in range of 1 to 50 because user screen names of
navigation menu and content IDs are related with each other.
6. Open your project file.
Click “Contents” and paste icon in global Toolbar.

7. Select “Content ID” and “OK”. Copied contents are successfully pasted in your
project.

8. Similarly, copy/paste Content51. It is necessary to add this content to use


hardware configuration.
Note: Do not change the Content ID.
9. Open downloaded file and select “All User Data Types” > “Array”.
10. Select all the Arrays in the editor.

11. Click copy icon in global toolbar.


12. Open your project file and select “All User Data Types” > “Array”.
Click an existing array or a blank editor and click paste icon in global toolbar.

The copied variable is pasted in your project.

13. Open downloaded file and select “All Variables””.
14. Select all the Variables in the editor.

15. Click copy icon in global toolbar.


16. Open your project file and select “All Variables”.
Click an existing variable or a blank Variable and click paste icon in global toolbar.

The copied variable is pasted in your project.

17. Open downloaded file and select “Alarms/Events” > “All Alarms” > “TotalPin”.

18. Click copy icon in global toolbar.


19. Open your project file and select “All Alarms”.
Click paste icon in global toolbar.
The copied Alarm Group is pasted in your project.
20. Open downloaded file and select “All Languages””.
21. Select all the language texts in the editor.

22. Click copy icon in global toolbar.

23. Open your project file and select “All Languages”.
Create 2 language tables (one with English and another with Japanese). Click the
editor and paste icon in global toolbar.

The copied language table is pasted in your project.


Note: If your project already has text, then maintain the text IDs same as
downloaded project to display the correct text in simulation.
24. Open downloaded file and select “All Users” > “Administrator”.

25. Click copy icon in global toolbar.


26. Open your project file and select “All Users”.
Click paste icon in global toolbar.
The copied users are pasted in your project.

27. Open downloaded file and select “User-Defined Converters”.
28. Select all the converters in the editor.

29. Click copy icon in global toolbar.


30. Open your project file and select “User-Defined Converters”.
Click an existing converter or a blank editor and click paste icon in global toolbar.

The copied converters are pasted in your project.

How to Change Screen Group/User Screen Names
To Change the screen group/user screen names, select “Language Table” > “All
Languages” in project explorer.
• To change Screen group names, edit the text in ID numbers 69 to 73
(corresponds to screen 1 to 5 respectively).
• To change User Screen names, edit the text in ID numbers 16 to 65
(corresponds to User Screen 1 to 50 respectively).

How to Hide User Screens


To hide a User Screens,
I. Select “Variables” > “All Variables” in project explorer.
II. In the variable editor, select “DisplayContent1…5” (corresponds to 5 screen
group) > “Display Content1…5[1…10]” (corresponds to 10 user screens.
Note: Display Content1…5[0] is not used.
III. In Properties window, clear the “Initial Value” check box.

IV. The selected user screen is removed from navigation menu in simulation.
Note: If all the user screens “Initial value” check boxes are cleared for a screen
group, then that screen group is not displayed in simulation.

How to Change Language


To Change the existing language to other language,
I. Select “Language Table” > “All Languages” in Project Explorer.
II. In the editor, change “Japanese_Gothic” to desired language.

III. Edit the text under that table.


IV. Select “Variables” > “All Variables” in Project Explorer.
V. In the variable editor, select “LanguageName”.

VI. In Properties window, change name in “Basic” >” Initial Value”.

How to Change Users Name


To Change Users name,
I. Select “Security” > “All Users” > “Administrator” in Project Explorer.
II. In the editor, edit the user name.

III. Select “Variables” > “All Variables” in Project Explorer.


IV. In the variable editor, select “UserName[0…9]”.
V. In Properties window, change name in “Basic” > “Initial Value”.
