    the People's President and also received the Bharat Ratna

    Dr Kalam developed India's first indigenous Satellite Launch Vehicle (SLV-3)


    which successfully placed the satellite, Rohini in the near orbit of earth
    in July 1980 and made India an exclusive member of Space Club. ...
