1. Define and describe information technology 

Information Technology is anything related to computing technology, such as networking,

hardware, software, the Internet, or the people that work with these technologies. IT is best
described in the use of any computers, storage, networking and other physical
devices, infrastructure and processes to create, process, store, secure and exchange all forms
of electronic data. 

2. Identify and explain the relevance of information technology to business and business
processes.

Information technology drives innovation and innovation is the path to business success.
Innovation results in smarter apps, improved data storage, faster processing, and
wider information distribution. Innovation makes businesses run more efficiently and
innovation increases value, enhances quality, and boosts productivity.

3. Identify and explain the positive and negative impacts of technology.

Here are some of the positive impacts of technology in our lives. Technology provides us
effectively in communication using messaging services to any part of the world. It also
improves business interactions and transactions, and saving our time. Banking and shopping
online have made life less complicated. You can also access the latest news from any part of
the world without depending on the TV or newspaper. Nowadays education has received a
huge boost as uncountable books and journals are available online. The negative impact of
technology is, it may cause children in addiction to social networks and it can disrupt an
individual’s life, both personally and professionally. Also some people use the internet to
hack into other people’s accounts for suspicious activities including stealing or banking
information. Yet others have been known to misuse the internet for spreading hate and
dangerously fake scenarios and news.

4. Relate the use of information technology in everyday life as well as in business

setting.

It is a recognized fact that the Information Technology (IT) in our daily life has changed
dramatically over the past couple of years. Information technology is used in every day of
life like education, communication, business, treatment and banking etc. Businesses are
investing heavily into new technological trends as well as offering businesses the chance to
operate more effectively through the application of information technology.
 5. Identify the current digital/technology trends that is now being utilized by people,
companies, and businesses.

The different digital/technology trends that is now being utilizes by people, companies, and
business are the Internet of Things it is the idea that all technological devices can be
connected to the internet and to each other in an attempt to create the perfect combination
between the physical and digital worlds. Another exciting emerging technology is the
learning system that we are doing, it is essentially to us student to have the ability to learn on
our own by analysing and knowing the topics that our teacher gave us.
