Date: 25 June 2018

Time: 09:00 hours

Venue: Zimasco Shurugwi Central Boardroom

Present:

P. Musarandega: Head - Mining Operations

T. Chisare: Ore Procurement Manager

F. Makwara: Mining Services Manager

S. Mutamba: Acting Maintenance Manager

S. Chanetsa : Mine Planning Officer

Proceedings

 Meeting called to order at 09:00 hours by Chair, Mr P. Musarandega.

1.0. Proposed site for an underground dyke mine

 BEE 25 and BEE 26 claims

 Area between two main faults
 There are two seams; seam 1 and seam 2
 The target seam is seam 2
 There is an accumulation of water in the area that needs to be examined.

2.0. Planned production targets for the underground dyke mines

Area Target

North Dyke 1200

Middle Dyke 3000
LALAPANZI 2400
South of Shurugwi 2500
3.0. Mining activities and output

Activity Manpower Time Output

Chrome Lifting Team leader and 4 men 6 hours 11.16 tons

Drill, charging and blasting Team leader and 2 men 4 hours 60 holes
Stope waste lashing Team leader and 4 men 7 hours 35.57 tons
Seam drive waste lashing 2 men 5 hours 10.55 tons

4.0. Constraints in the current mining process

4.1. Lashing constraints

 It is manual
 Use of one access there is interruption with other mining activities.
 Transportation of material.

4.2. Chrome Lifting constraints

 Sizing
 Decontamination
 Moving ore to the drive

4.3. Tramming constraints

4.4. Timber support constraints

 A lot of timber is needed, 20 timbers per shift that will be placed 1m apart.

4.5. Hoisting constraints

 Limited storage capacity

 Limited hoisting capacity
 Proper matching of hoists and skips should be done.

4.6. Labour constraints

 The process is labour intensive.

5.0. Mining depth to be used

Area Depth (m)

North Dyke 1000

Middle Dyke 700
Lalapanzi 700
South of Shurugwi 700

6.0. Action Plan

 Come out with ways of getting rid of identified constraints.

 Focus mainly on material movement in stopes drives and shafts.
 Examine shaft dimensions in comparison to capacity.
 Active stopes should be increased to 12.
 Improve the mining efficiency
 Mr Mutamba to determine the size of the equipment needed in line with the
planned production targets as well as power and infrastructure required.
 Mr Makwara to identify areas that give planned production targets.

The date for the next meeting to be advised.

Meeting adjourned at 12: 05 hours.
