Marketing Spotlight – Disney

Ans no 1:

The key success factors for Disney are that Disney focusses on creating experience for the
customers rather than just on the product. The management of Disney keeps eye on details to
get the satisfying finished products. The location the select for their target customers and
their attention to safety , show quality , courtesy. Disney creates a real difference in their
products in comparison to their competitors they recognise that what its customers value in
the Disney brand. They have captured the market by responding to the consumer's
preferences by leveraging the brand across different consumer's market.

Ans no 2:

Disney is vulnerable to the inside problems such as Disney lacks the marketing and
promotion strategies which leads Disney vulnerable to competitors. Hence the only time they
use promotions when they introduce another movie or toy. Other than this most marketing is
done visually through cross promotion. Disney has a high cost of entertainment production
and Disney has poor financial planning. As in 2018 Walt Disney has reported a loss of over
$1 billion due to investing in the wrong financial decisions. So to overcome this vulnerable
Disney should look for the new management strategies to solve the internal problems as
mentioned above. Hence this can be achieved by redesigning of how marketing should work
with R&D department and how to more aggressive to get back the lost market share.

In its film industry, it should watch out for Paramount Pictures possessed by Viacom and
established in 1912 (it accomplices up with a few other significant creation organizations
today like DreamWorks, Miramax and Weinstein just to give some examples to make
evaluated PG and PG-13 movies for more youthful watchers, and are getting into the 3-D
films now).

Ans no 3:

As the recommendations to the market executives of Disney. I would ask them to become
more aggressive and creative in making change and operate with other relating divisions to
launch the promotion or marketing strategies that work together.

These strategies should be that

 They should rebuild and remodel new attractions in every park and resort to stay
appealing to their customers.
 They should improve advertising to promote entertainment through social media for
creating personalised interactions.
 Pricing should be done effectively so that it become affordable for all classes.
 They should build brand image in different countries also.
 They must focus on societal marketing.
