Career Objective

I wish to take up fellowship course in critical care at your institution. I


would like to consolidate my knowledge and skills in Canadian critical
care unit. After finishing my fellowship, I would like to independently
practice evidence based critical care management in India.
Personal Statement

I am looking for a challenging job to complement my critical care


experience in Canada. I will bring my Indian critical care experience to
your organization. I would also wish to gain experience in critical care
research and teaching in Canada.

Work Experience
❖ 6 month mandatory basic training in medical & surgical ICU in my
postgraduate program.
• Acquired basic ICU knowledge including ABG
interpretation, ventilatory strategies, fluid management,
radiology, antibiotics, nutrition, DVT prophylaxis etc.
• Learned key procedures like arterial catheterisation,
intubation, and CVP insertion initially with local supervision
then with distant supervision.
• Learned fibre optic bronchoscopy under local supervision
• Performed many thoracic epidural catheterizations under
local supervision in ICU.
❖ 7 month post MD advanced training in medical & surgical ICU as senior
resident.
• Continued my ICU knowledge in terms of basic and new
developments in intensive care unit(mainly acquired
knowledge in terms of RRT modalities, cardiac interventions
basic only,glycemic control etc)
• Independently did arterial catheterisation and CVP insertion.
• Performed fibre optic bronchoscopy under distant supervision.

Multispecialty tertiary care centre (FORTIS HEALTHCARE) –INDIA going

• Continued my ICU knowledge in terms of both basic and
advanced training(neurocritical, cardiaothoracic care, obstetric
care, post transplant care,nephro critical care, interventional
radiology etc)
• Acquired more refining skills to do arterial catheterisation,
Ultrasound guided CVP insertion and HD cath insertion with
distant supervision.
• Have done procedures independently like percutaneous

supervision.

Teaching Experience
1. 3 years of post graduate teaching experience in anaesthesia in JNMCH,AMU
Aligarh:

a. I was part of teaching curriculum for diploma in Anaesthetic


assistant certificate course provided by my mother department.
b. I also took active participation in teaching undergraduates who used
to come to our department for their rotatory internship programme.
c. I was also part of teaching programme in the department which
included routine case presentations, mortality and morbidity meets,
journal clubs etc as part of post graduate curriculum.
2. 7 months of critical care teaching experience in medical and surgical
icu,JNMCH,AMU Aligarh:

a. Took demonstration classes for undergraduates (topics included


BLS, shock & its management)
b. Took active participation in teaching nursing staff in ICU,JNMCH
Aligarh, UP INDIA.(topics covered infection
control,nutrition,medical transcription etc)
3. 2 years of critical care teaching experience in present institution(Fortis
hospital):

a. I am part of teaching programme in the department which included
