History of Football in Italy

It was suggested that the beginnings of football have been practiced in Florence, a sport that
could be played with hands and feet and punctuated at the ends of the field. There is also the
assumption that have arisen in Naples.

The version most accepted today is that football arrived in the country by British merchants in
the city of Genoa. Over time, the sport began to be practiced also in Turin and Milan

 Italian teams are traditionally known to play defensively, using tactical schemes
as 4-5-1, 3-5-2 and 3-6-1.

underestimated by opponents who have a more offensive style of play, as Brazil, Spain,
