BEST CAMERAS FOR BIKE VLOGGING

You have a passion for motorcycles and love riding them. You just got a brand new bike and
start to think about vlogging your travel and share your experience. You got your riding gear,
bike all tuned up and your itinerary all figured out. But you cannot seem to decide on a
camera to shoot your travels. Before you go buy the best reviewed cameras online, there are a
few things to consider. Although most of the cameras suit your needs generally, you need a
product that is suitable for your unique needs.

Things to consider while buying your vlogging camera:

1. Field of View: With a wider field of view you can view what is happening around you
and not just what is in front of you. This is particularly useful or sometimes even
essential, when you are vlogging through a scenic route. Action cameras have a
distinct advantage over other types of cameras as they generally have a wider field of
view.
2. Mounting: It is absolutely essential that your mounting of the camera is secure as well
as properly placed. When mounting on your helmet, it is required that you feel
comfortable and make sure that the camera is protected against the weather conditions
as well as the vibrations and shakes of the ride.
3. Resolution: No one likes a blurry image. This is fairly easy to judge as most of the
cameras nowadays have 4K or 1080p recording.
4. Battery Life: When going on long rides you need to consider the life of the battery of
a camera.
5. Image Stabilisation: This is the most important feature to look out for in your
vlogging camera. Make sure the camera has top quality image stabilisation without
which your video is going to be shaky especially in difficult terrains. Action cameras
again have an advantage over other cameras in this department.

Cameras, however, are not the only important gear required for your vlog. Microphones are
also important along with proper mounting equipment.

Best Cameras for Vlogging:

1. GoPro Hero 7 Black: This action camera is right at the top in terms of video
shooting. Its image stabilisation is right up there along with its image resolution. It
shoots 4K videos up to 60 frames per second. A 1080p mode allows for a bigger
framerate of up to 240fps if you’re interested in doing slow-motion videos. It comes
with HyperSmooth technology. The purpose of HyperSmooth technology is to deliver
smooth footage. Its small size also makes it very easy to mount on your helmet and
handlebars. This is a great choice for everyone into vlogging.
2. Sony ZV-1: Compact, build, good audio and video quality makes it a perfect choice
for beginners and ride junkies. It is designed with vloggers and youtubers in mind,
hence comes with great video resolution and microphone. The ZV-1 has 20 megapixel
1-inch-type sensor shooting videos at 4K 30p. The ZV-1 supports stabilisation so you
can get steady footage when shooting handheld. This is one of the most preferred
cameras for vloggers because of its superior audio quality and image stabilisation. It is
perfect for limited videography experience as it comes with all sorts of automatic
functions.
3. Olympus OM-D E-M5 Mark III: This mirrorless camera is bigger than action
cameras but is lightweight for a mirrorless camera. Although mounting is not as easy
as in a GoPro camera, its image stabilisation, one of the best in the world, and image
resolution. Being a DSLR it has the added advantage of taking amazing pictures along
with videos. 20.4MP, 4K videography and lightweight make it an amazing choice for
vloggers.
4. GoPro Hero8 Black: The updated version of GoPro Hero 7 Black. Its small size
means that you can mount it pretty much anywhere and let its wide angle do the rest.
Equipped with 12MP, an upgraded HyperSmooth technology, updated user interface
and 4K video at up to 60 frames per second or 1080p up to 240 fps for slow-motion
playback makes it a must have for riders and even people pursuing adventure sports.
5. Panasonic Lumix G7: Probably the best camera for people with a budget although it
suits everybody’s needs. It shoots 4K video from a Micro Four Thirds sensor and is
compatible with the full range of Micro Four Thirds lenses. One drawback you can
point out is the in-body stabilisation. You have to rely on lens stabilisation on a
bumpy ride. Great image quality, solid feature set, although, makes you overlook
stabilisation.
6. Sony FDR-X3000: The Sony FDR-X3000 is a high-end camera model that allows
vloggers to film 4K footage with optical stabilization. The Sony FDRX3000 is a
worthy competitor to the dominant GoPro cameras. It has a 1-Chip 1/2.5" CMOS
sensor with 12MP resolution. This is a camera for serious vloggers who need good
quality, shake-free videos.
7. VanTop Moment 4: It is a reasonably priced camera with a Sony 20MP sensor which
optimizes your footage in 4K videos at 24 fps and produces high quality images with
up to 20 megapixels in depth. Footage from rides will also be delivered with smooth
and fine quality as this camera is packed with an electronic image stabilization
feature.
8. Sony A6600: Perhaps the best mirrorless vlog camera, it has good video quality,
compact design and great autofocus makes it great for who dislike blurry shots
fiercely. Its larger APS-C sensor means better performance in low light and 5-axis
stabilisation are a good selling point. But its standout feature is its autofocus. It is
simply the best when it comes to accurately tracking your eyes and face even when
you are moving.
9. Canon EOS M50: Equipped with a 24.1MP APS-C CMOS sensor this camera can
shoot in 4K albeit in a much narrower field of vision. In 1080p the field of vision is
larger and its autofocus feature makes it another fine addition to mirrorless vlog
cameras. Its mounting is a little difficult with whatever mount and recording with an
outstretched arm is a little tricky.
10. Canon PowerShot G7 X Mark III: This compact, pocket vlogging camera is a little
old in model but still very much great in terms of resolution quality and price is also
considerate. Lack of a viewfinder in this 20.1MP, 4K video shooting capable is a
drawback.
