PROJECT GUIDELINES- Legal Drafting and Interpretation

of Statutes (30 marks)

1. Word limit: 4000-4500 words (including footnotes and references).

2. Footnote and citation style: 20th Harvard Bluebook

3. Structure:

 Cover page
 Table of Contents
 Introduction
 Analysis
 Conclusion

4. Main Text: Time New Roman with font size 12 and 1.5 line spacing. Text be justified.

5. Footnotes: Time New Roman with font size 10 and 1 line spacing.

6. Time line

 Last date for registration- 18th October 2020

 Last date for submission- 8th November 2020

7. Team Composition: Two members per team are allowed.

8. Similarity index: Maximum 15%.

9. Procedure for Registration: Students must register the project topics using the Google form
link mentioned in the mail. One student per team should only register for the topic. A team
should register for 3 topics of their choice based on order of preference and the topics shall be
allocated on first come first serve basis. It is compulsory to mention 3 topics in the required
fields in the Google form so as to fasten the process in case of duplicity in project topics.

10. Students who wish to register individually may do so by filling the details of only one group
member.

11. Submission of the project will be done through Google form. Please don’t mail in your
projects.
