WORKING ON SCAFFOLDS

1. Only use tool / equipment if you are trained and authorised to use the tool / equipment.
Always check your equipment before you start to work.
2. Report any problems to your site supervisor.
Always make sure that your area is safe to work in.
3. Always use your safety harness and ensure it is attached properly to a solid structure.
Ensure that there are sufficient handrails at 900mm high and full floor boards.
4. Ensure that a safe access is provided and use it.
Secure your tools and equipment so they can’t fall.
5. Never throw objects down from any height.
Know the site fall protection plan, accident procedure and evacuation procedure.
6. Warn others below that you are working above them.
Keep your area tidy – Don’t leave objects close to drop off edges.
7. Report all safety problems to your supervisor.
Protect the public and other employees from falling objects, material and tools.
8. Work safely and don’t take chances A fall can kill you.
