GUIDELINES AND MECHANICS

1. Qualification – The search is open to female and male students who meet the following
minimum requirements:
 A bona fide student of Quezon Memorial Academy.
 With pleasing personality.

2. Pageant Categories - The candidates will compete on the following categories:

 Popularity Vote (thru Facebook Heart Reactions)
 Talent Competition
 Casual Wear Competition
 Creative Costume Competition
 Question and Answer Portion

3. Pageant Proper - The Virtual Pageant is on October 30, 2020 at 1:00 PM through ZOOM. All of
the candidates should have already installed the said application to avoid inconvenience.

4. Facebook Likes - Each candidate will have official pageant photos that will be uploaded on the
Facebook Fan Page of QMA Mythical Icons de Inomena Ethni 2020. The candidate with the
highest number of HEART REACTIONS will be awarded as the People’s Choice Award. The
official photos will be uploaded on October 26, 2020 at 12:00 PM and voting ends on October 29,
2020 at 12:00 PM.

5. Talent Competition – Every candidate will be given a maximum of three (3) minutes for the
talent presentation. The talent should be recorded and should be passed on or before October 29,
2020 at 12:00 PM on their respective advisers. Failure to send his/her video on the given
schedule will automatically be given a deduction point on the overall tally.
They are to be rated based on the following criteria:
Originality (35%)
Stage Presence (25%)
Projection and Delivery (30%)
Overall Impact (10%)

6. Question and Answer – The Q & A Portion will be done virtually thru Zoom Application. Each
candidate will be given a specific question which will be rated according to its relevance and the
questions to be given would be in accordance to the celebration’s theme, “Bridging the
Inequalities/Gaps to Achieve Social Justice.” The candidates will only be given 3 minutes to
answer. The questions will be given by the judges who will also be joining the Zoom Conference.

7. Casual Wear Competition – In this category, candidates will be required to wear the casual
attire of their represented country and should hold their country’s flag as to promote the
Celebration of United Nations. The Casual Wear should be recorded with maximum of three (3)
 minutes and should be passed on or before October 29, 2020 at 12:00 PM on their respective
advisers. Failure to send his/her video on the given schedule will automatically be given a
deduction point on the overall tally.
They are to be rated based on the following criteria:
Bearing (35%)
Stage Presence (25%)
Projection and Delivery (30%)
Overall Impact (10%)

8. Creative Costume Competition – Candidates must be integrating the Mythical Costume of

their choice of Mythical Icon in their represented country. The Creative Costume Competition
should be recorded with maximum of three (3) minutes with voice over of the icon’s synopsis as
background and should be passed on or before October 29, 2020 at 12:00 PM on their respective
advisers. Failure to send his/her video on the given schedule will automatically be given a
deduction point on the overall tally.
They are to be rated based on the following criteria:
Relevance (Interpretation and Consistency of Theme) (25%)
Creativity (25%)
Originality (25%)
Stage Presence and Poise (15%)
Overall Presentation (15%)

9. The Top Three (3) Candidates will be declared as Mr. & Ms. Mythical Icon de Inomena Ethni
2020, 1st Runner Up and 2nd Runner Up, respectively.

10. The decision of the Board of Judges is final and irrevocable

11. Awards
The following Special Awards will be given to candidates who garnered the highest score on each
category:
 People’s Choice Award
 Best in Casual Wear
 Best in Creative Costume
 Best in Talent

The Major Awards are the following:

 Mr. & Ms. Mythical Icon 2020
 1st Runner Up
 2nd Runner Up
