- Trailing edge foam filler (14),
- Spar foam filler (15),
- Balancing counterweights (16),
- Attachment wedges (17),

2. Spar:
Before installation in the blade, the pre-cured spar includes:
- Glass rovings (10) impregnated with resin, wound around attachment
bushes (4) and wedges (17). The rovings are aligned on a foam filler (15).
- Counterweights (16) are built into the leading edge area as well as a
balance weight support(18) on the tip.

The balance weight support is made from:

- For blades P/N 355A11.0020.00 to 03, light alloy.
- From blades P/N 355A11.0020.04 and 355A11.0030.00, composite
materials.

After curing the spar assembly is covered by winding 4 coats of cross-laid roving
at 51° (11).

3. Skin, Reinforcements and Fillings:

The skin (12) on both sides of the blade consists of:
- For blades P/N 355A11.0020.00, two coats of resin pre-impregnated 0,31 m
(in.) thick glass cloth.
- For blades P/N 355A11.0030.00, three coats of resin pre-impregnated glass
cloth, one coat, 0,31 m (in.) thick, one coat, 0,25 mm (in.) thick and one
coat, 0,06 mm (in.) thick used as a fuse.
The pressure face is protected by a polyurethane strip (9) incorporated in the
profile of the blade end.
The pre-impregnated glass fiber reinforcements (5) under the skin ensure
excellent torsional rigidity of the blade root.
A foam filler (14) under the spar forms the trailing edge profile.

4. Trailing edge tab:

The trailing edge skin is reinforced by glass cloth and roving strips constitute the
ledge (13).

5. Leading edge protection:

The leading edge of the blade is covered with two stainless steel protections (1)
bonded onto the spar.
A polyurethane seal strip (2) protects the leading edge in the root area.

Blades used in sandy atmospheres may have their leading edges protected by
thin strips of polyurethane.

6. Protection of the skin:

The polyurethane paint applied to the blade protects the resin against the ultra
violet rays of the sun's radiation.

7. Balance and adjusting weights:

The spanwise balancing (static moment) is with weights (21) placed in the central
housing of the weight support (18).
The dynamic adjustment is with weights (20) placed in the forward and aft
housings.
The dynamic balance basic value is 0,400 kg (.8812 lb).
The elastic stops (22) and the threaded plugs (19) hold the weights in place in
each housing.
A closure plate tracking finger (23) equipped with a seal protects the end and is
used to adjust the tracking.
The dynamic adjustment is completed by two tabs No. 5 and No. 6 (8), located at
the trailing edge and centered at approximately 0.8 R.

8. Installation of the blades on the rotor hub:

The blades are attached to the sleeves (27) with two pins (25) held in position by
a locking pin (28).
On each pin (25), a safety pin (29) serves the same purpose (double safety
feature).
The bonding braid (3) ensures continuity between the metal parts of the blade
(26) and the rotor hub.
