The four-storey school building is expected to be completed by

August, said School Principal Flora D. Tubal.

Tubal explained that the structure was supposed to have been
completed in March, however, the said date was soon extended until
August (Ma’am Flora was told by DepEd officials in charge of the
project) due to some problems that were brought up during
construction, there were some complications such as construction
workers leaving their jobs and a couple of complaints like the cutting
of the trees
The structure is now in the state of completion, located near once
main gate, also covering some parts of the original mini mountain
beside our school and below the Lubas Elem. School. The hollow
blocks are being placed and the cements are now in the process of
being applied. The principal said that the structure was supposed to
have been completed by March.

Madam Flora then mentioned that the whole estimated cost of the
building was about P36,040,289.90 including the worker’s salary with
the 2018 Basic Education Facilities Fund (BEFF) as their fund source
and DPWH as their Implementer.
One of the problems that was encountered at the making of the New
Building was the cutting of the trees at the said plot near elementary
and high school. Said problems were even discussed at the radio.
Moreover, in the midst of making the new building, the complaints
still continues to pile up. Though, they were acknowledged by
Madam Flora, the project nonetheless still continued. Our principal
affirmed that the project was owned by DepEd and that these
problems that are being raised are handled by the Department as
they crop up, approved by the office of the Undersecretary for
Administration
Our principal assured us that Students of Senior and Junior High will
surely benefit from the building as it would provide additional
spacious areas for students and present a more suitable class room
for all grade level than the improvised, “Tolda Classroom”. The new
building will have 16 classrooms in total. 1 industrial classroom, 1
Beauty Care classroom, 1 ICT classroom, 1 Dressmaking classroom, 2
Scientific Laboratory, 6 regular classrooms and 4 teacher’s office. All
in all, the project came into fruition because of our principal’s
thoughtful concerns for the students.
It is therefore our fervent hope, as students, that this building be
completed on schedule.
