Regular vs Irregular Verbs

For regular verbs, we add -ed for all subjects:


to start -> started
to purchase -> purchased
to learn -> learned
Irregular verbs follow their own rules:
to make -> made
to drive -> drove
to eat -> ate (eit)

Negatives:
The negative sentences and questions in the past simple use auxiliary
verbs.
To do-> did (for any subject)
She didn't come to school today
Questions:
Did+subject+verb...?
Did Jane talk to you?
OR
Were/Was+subject+verb...?
Were you at the park this morning?
Was she there with you?

Past Continuous
Was/Were+verb-ing... .
I yelled at you because you were driving too fast
