Procedure for Testing and commissioning of Engineering Smoke Control System

Purpose

The purpose of this work is to be testing and commissioning of the Engineering Smoke
Control System

Preparation

1) Upon arrival at site, the team to report to the in-charge (Mincom) and to apply all
necessary passes.
2) To visual check Master Smoke Control Panel (MSCP), Smoke Curtain Control Panels
(SCCP) and Smoke Extraction Fan Control Panel (SEFP) conditions.
3) Person in-charge (Dual Star Co., Ltd) will be station at level FCC location of MSCP.
4) Each technician will be standby at the each SCCP and SEFP to monitor the status of
Engineering smoke control system during the testing.
5) One technician will be triggered the smoke detector by a magnet or smoke spray.
6) Upon activation of the smoke detector, the MSCP will received the Alarm signal and
indicates the affected zone/Level and send to SCCP to descend smoke curtains related
zone/level and also send to SEFP to run related smoke extraction fans.
7) Check to ensure that smoke extraction fans are correctly open, PAHU shut down and all
Auto doors at ground floor are correct open during the testing.
8) After the test has been completed, reset the entire the system back to normal operation
condition.
